It'll be interesting to see what happens after Brazil's gold medal match this afternoon. If he goes home to Brazil I reckon there's no way he's signing for us. I set an A&C deadline of Monday, if it hasn't happened by then it isn't going to. My testes are wagered off elsewhere but i'll bet three pubes on it.

I just can't see LD happening. We've spent our supposed transfer budget of around £25m already, and I've seen nothing to suggest they'd be willing to meet Inter's asking price. Inter are in a very strong negotiating position; if we'd have got LD, I suspect it would have been last summer. I hope for the best the best though! Already writing off Newcy away as a loss so far

Really have to say I don't buy into this at all. I'm of the opinion we could go to Newcastle with our current squad and get a draw at worse - it will be a difficult, but competitive game, whoever plays. I would expect a home win or 2 from the following fixtures even with JD playing up front. So why appalling?

We certainly need something by the end of the month though.
