As i said the other day. Bale also told Levy he wants to leave but Levy said no! So unless DL has changed his mind he's not going anywhere. It's also true he will not force the move even though another team mate has told him to hand in a transfer request! Can't mention the player on here but has been passed on to our mods.

Probably that trouble maker Soldado.

Honestly I think bale needs a strong character to get a grip on him ATM his head is all over the place surely he's a shy young quiet lad he doesn't like a fuss so this must be kind of like his worst nightmare he's getting pushed against a wall and I personally think he would be pretty easy to manipulate

Agreed, and this is one of the main reasons why I don't think he is mentally strong enough for such a big money move to a club where he is going to be put under immense pressure to perform virtually from day one.

Personally, I think he needs shot of his agent, who is clearly not looking out for his clients best intrests and only seems interested in a big pay day.

Think Emma will be the key to it all.

But I imagine her voice may get lost in the 100 other people whispering MADRID
You mean there is a way to drown out the wife?:)
This is a real poker game which I'm beginning to enjoy now.

We really need this sorted in a week's time. Because the type of business we may have to do as a result of Bale leaving is going to be pretty labor intensive. Good thing we essentially have two guys who can negotiate separate of each other.

I agree to a point. We're all subject to manipulation by others, but when it reaches a boiling point is where your personality rises to the surface, for better or worse. If he's feeling bullied by agents, press, fans, clubs, etc then he has two choices: Make a statement regarding his true wishes AND STICK TO IT like an adult, or retreat into a hole and be submissive like a child. This really is a black & white issue.

By 'us all' I hope you aren't including the people who had to spend their time dealing with the duplicate account, removing posts, tidying up the thread, dealing with the person in question with the original account etc etc :(
I don't mean entertainment for the mods. Just thought a couple posts were funny. It's done now anyway.

Today's entertainment is all about Bale obviously.

Agreed but I have no idea which way he is going to go he's either going to snap at us or at madrid

But my guess is he's going to bury his head and hide away remember when he used to stay down for every knock and redknapp told physios to stop treating him I think he likes to be told "everything's going to be okay"

I would love to know which **** told him to hand in a transfer request. My bet would be someone like Ade.

Never seemed to enjoy Bale's last minute heroics.

If we're not going to publicly reiterate that he's not for sale, then why not take a leaf out of Salvo's book and publicly issue a deadline, stating that Real Madrid are aware of our demands and that if they are not met by <enter date here> then he will not be sold. Obviously as I'm typing this, I realise that any public intention that we make of selling him weakens our position in the transfer market so we're actually in a really, really difficult position. I'm just extremely worried that it'll drag on and on and we'll lose him towards the end of the window and be unable to replace him. Not even a sniff of ITK on any potential replacements is quite worrying.

OR is a GOOD thing :)

Haven't we always had a club pollicy that we never comment on transfers?
We'll say once that we're not selling, and that's it.

It's frustrating for us but at least the club don't have to constantly issue statements on every bullshit story that gets circulated.

Why can't we just agree some sort of pre contract agreement with Real Madrid for next season, would give us time to find an adequate replacement and still let Bale fulfil his dreams of playing for an elite club. Before he joins RM

Corrected for you.;)

I think it mostly has to come from AVB, he has to be passionate about giving them chances and backing his ability to improve them and get them playing at PL level rather than buying the next quick fix. Case in point Caulker, not the best CB ever and lacking in some areas but being young that will happen, I think he has shown enough to be persisted with over the next year or two rather than the manager give up on him after one season and seemingly buy some random Romanian finished article instead.

As you mention, Carroll is the obvious one. What good is a loan going to do if he is stuck with inferior players/shit pitches/ poor quality football? But there are others, I think Townsend is very raw but has a lot of potential (far more raw skills than Lennon for instance) if he has good players around him he can learn off. I bet he is next one out the door though. One of the things we kept hearing about AVB is that he was someone ideal to bring through the promising youth players and maximise our investment in the Training facilities, and I know it doesn't happen overnight, but I see near zero interest in this area from him so far. Disappointing.

Whoever is sorting out these loans has lost the plot though. I don't know why Pritchard et al have been sent to League One or what that achieves. Seemingly sacrificing a year of their development to establish a partnership with Swindon, one of the more unstable clubs out there. Others have got stuck in championship loan after championship loan. Needs to be re-focused.

Agree. It's not just the fact that they are going on loan, it's that the destination loan clubs sometimes seem ill thought out and poor fits for the players and don't help develop their particular skills.

If Bale has had the I want to leave chat with the club, then he will have discussed it with his wife already.

Clutching at straws.
