When has deferring business to the next transfer window ever worked out?

Four months in football is basically a lifetime and waiting that long for anything is a gamble.
You urgently need to consider allocating a portion of your peanut to letting things sink in, thinking about it a while and then processing it before you post.

If you've cost us an ITK posting in this thread today...............

Hate when fans read what they want when any itk comes in. Trix is clearly saying we're signing 2 or 3 today and a world class player in January.

You have a World Cup in Nov/Dec... very different scenario... players may shine, bigger chance of injuries, fatigue earlier than normal, new players emerge from WC, more opportunities than normal...

So Trix's ITK (or the clubs plans) makes a lot of sense really... and your comment belongs elsewhere as well.

Perhaps an element of common sense. If we can't buy the right player, then its better to wait, instead of buying for the sake of buying.

Liverpool did the same with Van Dijk. They wanted him in the summer window. Couldn't get Southampton to sell, so they waited. That worked out well.

Morning, you lusty strumpets.

I’m taking this one easy; a bit of house chores, some FIFA, maybe some Elizabethan literature later on when I’m feeling frisky. Enjoy it ye heathens

Right I'm not going to do this today, if the stuff I post starts getting twisted(like usually happens) just to be negative I'll just not post. I very clearly said I didn't know what that meant, and that bit of my post was a guess on my part.
I know it must be extremely difficult trix - but try and ignore the exception rather than the rule - the vast majority of us take your info correctly and appreciate the insight

Thanks as always trix. Leaving some business to the winter break seems like a good idea to me, especially with a winter world Cup in between this year. Who knows what injuries, fatigue etc. That will cause. Kulu & Bents made a huge impact on our season last year.

It really wasn't my intention to twist anything - apologies. My comment was referring to having any kind of eye on January rather than any of your interpretation of what that meant.

FWIW I'm optimistic about today. For years we've left business late which has never made sense as the selling clubs have had us by the knackers. This time we have done good business so would hold all the cards in any negotiations knowing we can walk away and be ok.
