Exactly! the silence from the club, can only mean 1 thing..he is gone!.. its about time DL made a statement as this isnt good for the club or the fans on a pr front, this i feel will end badly yet again, its becomming a joke if im honest..Just tell the fans and media the truth!!! other clubs are going to hike the prices unless an end is brought to this quickly based on the uncertainty, its got berba modric carrick last day bullshit written all over it..
There may be no truth to tell yet though.

If all the ITK we are reading is correct, then as I said, we won't know anything until we have had RM's final offer, and we have accepted/rejected it. If Bale is open to a move but won't force it, then RM will be trying their luck until the dying seconds of the window.

"Bale is staying"

AVB (We have the pledge of the chairman that he won't be leaving)

Tim sherwood (one million percent :D)

Ledley king

Michael Dawson

Paulinho (Shown ambition by keeping Bale and AVB)

Any others I have missed?

They all have to be more informed than most, can't see them all being wrong/lied to.

If Bale goes this season it will be for much less than billy big bollocks Perez has been leaking. He has no intention of paying anywhere near that. It's either Levy bends over for them or he stays. They won't match our valuation.

Bingo.
And if i am Levy i smell a rat. No not Modric...
Ronaldo to Man Utd is bad news, it strengthens Man United massively and it allows Real Madrid to seriously go for Bale. On top of it it means Bale knows he is the star man and not in Ronaldo's ego, err shadow.

Man united have been too quiet, everyone got a cash windfall and it would be deluded not to expect something of this magnitude to come from them.
I don't think Man Utd have been quiet. They have been after Fabregas very publicly. And no way can they afford him and Ronaldo.

Ah, the willy/won’t he continues…
I have decided that he is not leaving. And even if he does, I’m going to continue to pretend that he hasn’t, reminiscent of my dad’s continual support for Paul Allen even when he wasn’t on the pitch. I remember one such occasion in the early nineties at Bramall Lane in what was, I believe, Paul Allen’s last appearance for the club. He was a substitute that night, a fact that had not registered with my dad who, throughout the first half shouted “Come on, Paul Allen!” at a scampering Gordon Durie and, confusingly, also Jason Dozzell. I can well remember the faces of those amongst our support sat around us, who half-turned and querulous, looked toward us whilst I responded with a shrug and a Gallic lip and he continued oblivious.
I suppose his support for the man goes some way to explaining why he currently has him tied up in his Man Cave. To Paul’s credit, he still responds to the shout of “Come on, Paul Allen!” though now it is only to advance on all fours to his cat bowl to lap milk or lick jelly coated chunks of regurgitated Rabbit and Chicken into his mouth. He’s got him very well trained. Perhaps Mr Levy could heed this tale and learn a lesson?
And so to Bale…willy/won’t he? Well, if he does, don’t be expecting to see him at Madrid. My dad’s Man Cave has room for one more

Bale not forcing the move is good news for us. He loves us and AVB, but also wants to play for Real at the same time. He respects us enough to respect Levy's decision.

We don't comment on speculation as a rule so it means nothing. The only time the club has commented before is when there has been direct quotes from the players saying they want to leave.

exactly my point this " dont comment as a rule" has hardly worked in our favour has it, it needs to be handled differently than previously...it just smells of the same line, and if we can read between the lines then its obvious the press can too, hence the hype! :)

As i said the other day. Bale also told Levy he wants to leave but Levy said no! So unless DL has changed his mind he's not going anywhere. It's also true he will not force the move even though another team mate has told him to hand in a transfer request! Can't mention the player on here but has been passed on to our mods.
This part doesn't bother me in the least, mostly because that's to be expected. The mindset of a professional athlete at the upper levels of their respective sport, and average joe fan couldn't be further apart. They're ALL about earning as much money and fame as they can before their flame is extinguished. To think otherwise would be deluding yourselves.

It's a non-story, this other player, because every player in every high-end league in the world will say the same thing.

Honestly, the whole Bale saga this summer is kind of boring. Leave. Stay. Whatevs. The club is the much bigger picture and the stadium and it's ability to bring in teh cash is 100x bigger than any one player. Besides, Spurs tended to lean on Bale's heroics last season for late points. A more well-rounded squad shouldn't have those issues, and selling a stud like Bale, which is inevitable, would help to build that squad.

Unless you're a salmon, swimming up river is a poor use of time and energy.

Too many conspiracy theories. There is no way Ronaldo will want to join Utd until he knows if Moyes is up to the job. Currently Moyes is doing an awful job at placating Rooney, who is Ronaldo's mate and also isn't looking like he has gone in there and taken control and won over the players.

If it is 85M cash I think its ok....
My guess is Levy will take the money and run.... but which bank will loan them that amount is questionable.

Surely it's better to saying nothing? anything you do say will be twisted by the media or thrown back at you at a later date.

Not ITK bashing but this latest itk is from the same person who said Modric was off in 2011 in very similar circumstances. I still have hope. :)

Comments keep cropping up along the lines of Spurs releasing a statement - but it's a slippery slope. Do you start releasing statements every time something incorrect is printed as fact? I'm sure we'd be releasing a lot of statements.

As Matty said, we have actually already released statements, lots of them, all of which said Bale would not be sold. We can second guess the 'silence' from Spurs as much as we wantt, but we'll get no nearer the truth of the matter and probably a lot closer to A&C brandishing his 'authoritah'.

Just convinces me even more that Levy won't buckle. He won't do anything to strengthen United.

In all honesty, if our ITKs are hearing he's off, they should probably be privy to who we might be looking at as a replacement to Bale. I can't imagine they haven't at least heard some rumblings.
