On all the conflicting Bale info, I suspect it comes about because Real simply haven't backed up their offer yet, and until they actually front up the cash then we are telling everyone to keep quiet either way.

It wouldn't surprise me if we've agreed on a valuation of £105m with Real. But that doesn't mean that a transfer is close. Bale may not want to go, Real may not have the money, they might overvalue any players they want to add as part of the deal, those players might not want to come etc etc.

Until Real stump up a proper offer this whole thing is a moo point. It's moo.

We need to set a deadline like Valencia did. We can't be going into the last week or so of the window and still have ITK split on what they're hearing from the Club.

Levy needs to tell them, put up or shut up. Then release a statement.

Sorry by hap hazard I meant we started off with a plan and it is all going to jelly. Reminds me scarily of the ramos era where the plan is not being followed.

ask anyone at the club and they will tell you huds parker, benny and ade are on the transfer list. Then players that are not designed to leave, leave. Dempsey was told three weeks ago he is intergral to the us market, dawkins is given a new contract but it seems he is not wanted.

The loan system and subsequent youth systems are disjointed. Players like fryers and vigaroux who have shown little promise travel with the first team to try and "get their confidence up" nothing to do with any good performances.

I am.not one to be negative but as with last year we are not all rosey off the pitch. That being said we have a rollecoaster few weeks ahead so lets see what it brings :)

Sounds like too many chiefs to me. Parker, Benny and Ade should stay, Hudd should leave. He does have ability but he is now 26, I would have loved him to be our Carrick but it hasn't happened unfortunately it's another case of a player not fulfilling their potential.

So JJ retired from here but not twitter? haha

No disrespect but I don't recall him being particularly accurate in the past. Not doubting his integrety or intentions, just saying...

All this tallies with how I perceive the club is run. Not being critical, just how I've pieced together info over the last few years.
It's easy to presume that the club is efficiently run because in football terms it is, but compare it to the outside world and it seems quite shambolic.
We've heard often that our scouting is two-bit, that our med staff are run-of-the-mill (our injury record backs this up), our transfer strategy is a mix of the sublime and bizarre (for every Sandro there's a Bentley, although our purchases have been top notch recently) yet we seem to muddle along.
We forget that the core of our business is a group of 25 or so super rich man-children often being shepherded by older man-children (ex-players as coaches). I retain hope that Andre is a step above as at least he's not a former pro and seems capable of critical thinking.

Anyway, i've still not read anything over the last 24 hours in this swathe of ITK that makes me think Bale is going, and it's fascinating that a £9m sale for Caulker was practically completed with barely a sniff from anyone and potentially ditto Dempsey.

I suppose things can't be settled if we don't know whether our budget is £0, or £120m for the rest of the window.

We need the Bale situation resolved one way or the other this week.

It's already resolved, he isn't going this summer. Next summer maybe. We are looking to challenge for the title this year, can't do that if you sell Bale, Levy, AVB and Lewis know this.

Agreed. Has anyone else actually aired this possibility? Maybe, just maybe, Levy is considering cashing in big-time. Not impossible. But GB is not very keen to uproot himself and young family, away from parents, at this stage in his career. Straw-clutching maybe but it's not completely out of the question.

A couple more players are transfer listed but refusing to leave unless they're offered bigger wages buy the buying club. Problem is they're not worth the money!

I still absolutely believe Bale is off. None of yesterdays ITK convinced me at all and I'm afraid I think a lot of people on here have wasted money betting on it :(

Hope I'm wrong

Some papers are already reporting he won't play due to his "injury". We could do with him playing really to get everyone talking about his football again.
"Injury" me arse, or rather his arse - Doesn't take 3 weeks for that injury to heal - smells like smoke and mirrors. But I agree if he plays, he might well stay, and maybe the whole RM bid news is just BS. so will be interesting to see if he goes and if he plays!

key for me today is whether Bale is on that plane or not

Disagree - if he is genuinely injured, what's the point in flying out for something you can't participate in.
I would imagine that was where the majority of the so called "frustration" came from in Hong Kong.... Possibly told to travel because he is currently seen as the face of the THFC brand. We aren't going to Monaco to promote either the club or the PL.

Do medical staff prevent injuries or cure them? Fitness staff would prevent them, and even then you can be unlucky. Our injury record last few years is no worse then any other top club.

Didn't take a bad scout to sign David Bentley..he was playing out of his skin for Blackburn.
