The other amazing thing is the media are actually getting bored of the story as for all their talk, gossip and speculation then silence from spurs has drowned it all up. Which you have to say big up to spurs for the current way they have being handling it. Imagine if we responded to all the bale speculation the media would have twisted it all up.

I don't think that is true, they made back the Ronaldo fee in a year in merchandise and sales. It's more to do with Ronaldo's contract running down. Still think they'll keep both for this season.

I think JJ is deliberately sabotaging his own reputation. Get a few 'wrong', his aura dims and he becomes a pleb like the rest of us and can then join in fighting over A&Cs old butt plugs (they're not diamonds by the way; unless diamonds is some new, down with the kids term for sweet corn that I don't know about).

Perhaps he's got another account on the go. Perhaps he's really LLM? Perhaps this is all part of Levy's plan to create confusion and when Soldado runs out against palace instead unzipping his training top he unzips his face and out comes Gregorz Rasiak. Levy then spends the rest of the season trying to convince us that Rasiak never really left, that the last seven years were just a dream and that Paulo Tramezzani was getting a testimonial this year.

Lose our identity by buying a load of SuperMegaStars the like of which we've never seen before? Do you mean? Rather than a team of very likeable-but-not-quite-good-enough-for-the-top English guys?

It's a tricky one because I obviously want my club to do well, and I love that we've built where we are from a backbone of quality young English / local-ish players, but there's just not enough worldies to go around is there? Maybe we'll be able to draw a few more in once our team of International SuperMegaStars win the league and all of the cups a few times?
