On a side note, harry has just had an op on his knee. he isnt travelling with the QPR squad wherever they are touring. He said this morning that he hopes to tie up some big deals for this week.

Out of interest Jar IF the ITK's are alluding to what it seems that there is a target above Chadli; who could it feasibly be aside from Bernard? It'd have to be someone totally left field as he's the only one we've had a sustained link with.

Not sure the interest from Brighton is there altogether really. QPR look like backing him for a good push as well. I wouldnt discount it, but he is focused on QPR now fully

JJ has already said we are not going for Bernard due to "internal interference". People are just getting themselves worked up over nothing.

If we were actually bidding for him there would be no reason for JJ to not tell us as everyone knows we were linked in the press a few weeks back.

IIRC Bernard wanted to play in the Copa Libertadores and was going to make a decision afterwards, and Porto apparently put in the €25m bid. The final 2 legs of CL is 18th and 25th July, so I think we will have to wait until then to find out. I would do a bit more digging around but my connection is so slow it's impossible!

From what I read AM announced it would take 25 mill euros for them to sell Bernard and there was speculation that Porto were interested in the player but not that they had put in any bid for 25 mill. I might have missed it, but I would be pretty shocked if they had

His comments sounded more like it was undecided rather than a non runner and JJ's comments would still be pertinent because we were linked, as it provided more information to the situation. Judging by the comments on Chandli it actually suggests we have another prefered target and he is plan b, or maybe it's simply a case of some are pushing for Bernard others Chadli and it's a bit of a power struggle

That is not a balls on slab commitment and the same can be said to others last night who were saying Benteke was 100% done. People (not aimed at anyone specific here) need to read the ITK postings and not turn "likely" or "possible" into 1000000% nailed on.

Not surprising, considering 2 or 3 Villa fans have clearly signed up on here incognito !

Great Sundays worth of ITK, but i never never put a deadline on when signings will be made ( I see some people saying ooh Chadli in the next two days and Benteke by end of week ). Enjoy the info and don't stress by expecting the signings to be completed imminently or by a certain day.

Having read Villa talk, I would absolutely farqharing love it if we got him for less than 25m.

Player above Chadli is an interesting one. I do still think it could be Bernard despite what JJ said on him a week or two back.
