I still think this spending is largely underpinned by the knowledge that we will sell Bale at some stage, and the interest in Lamela suggests to me that Bale is gone.

This is the thing. I'm not so sure on that at all. I think we've called Madrid's bluff and they've gone back to the Spanish bank(s) with their pockets out-turned and the look of an aggrieved teenager denied pocket money on their faces. I could very well be wrong and we've led the clubs that have sold to us on a merry dance of "oh no, Gareth won't be going anywhere, this is our last penny guv". But I actually think Lewis has gone for it.

But if we bring in Coentrao, Willian and Lamela then we really are looking very strong.

I think no matter our remaining dealings, we're in for a roller coaster of a fun season. BRING ON THE SWANS!

COOOOOMMMMMEEEE ONNNNN YOUUUUUU SPURRRRSSSS.

And you, Danielson, will have me singing that in your ear for 90 minutes at the weekend. Bet you can't wait eh?

Farking hellfire. That much? Would have thought it would be a more fixed sum kinda deal. I suppose it is at 5% but considering the transfer fee...I mean, yes, well done them etc but the best part of £5m for a player who they sold 6/7 yrs ago when he was a gangly 17 yr-old LB? Seems steep to me.

Levy will find a way round this. Probably find that the transfer fee for Bale is £1 but is dependent on RM paying us £90 million to take Coentrao off their hands.

Levy will still hate handing over that 5p to Southampton mind you.

He's such a grimey, slimey, slithery **** isn't he that Barnett.

I really hope that the Bale move doesn't happen, his contract doesn't get renewed and he spends his days lightly stroking his shrivelled pea-cock into the back pages of "Bale £100m deal agreed", crying hysterically and generally lying in his own filth.

Agent ****.

With regards the massive transfer drive this summer, it's been an absolute master stroke from Daniel levy etc, ok so Madrid come knocking for bale, he wants the move, there would seem no way possible to sell bale and keep the spurs faithful happy, well throw in soldado Willian and lamela, who can argue with that and question the ambition/business savvy? I do believe the bale deal done, because in spending what we may spend including Willian and lamela, £120m firstly this goes against every spurs transfer window I can ever remember, it's a huge outlay biggest by far in the league swamping Chelsea, Liverpool, united, secondly, by getting the players in, if the bale deal wasn't sown up, we'd be weakening our negotiating position because real would know we have to sell to balance the books, just my view, I get the cries of 'we don't need to sell bale to sign these players' but logic is telling me it's part of a fantastically clever transfer strategy

Couldn't sleep last night. Eventually drifted off after singing COYS and ohh when the spurs over and over again.

Woke up this morning and thought "fuck work" I'm going to enjoy basking in the spurs transfer jizz for the whole day.

Sterling work yesterday. COYMFS

Morning all. I feel like I'm a kid on Christmas morning again. Only my old girl isn't staggering about pissed and calling us all ****s.

Pledged a fiver if Willian signs, raising it to a tenner. Great work yesterday. Apart from A&C who's clearly going senile.

I actually can't wait. I haven't been able to complain about the weirdos sitting near me for ages.

As for Bale I'm 95% sure he's off and I think once (if) Willian is done we'll have to wait until Bale goes before spending any more.

Hope I'm wrong though and we sign Willian, Lamela, Coentrao, a centre back and another striker....and keep Bale.

Great day yesterday, almost as great as this site. Just chucked £20 your way (included my transfer pledges and an extra £5 for good measure)

El dildo cabezo tiene drogas spectacularrrrrr en el culo!

(I learn my spanish from the bumblebee man in Simpsons and Cartman in South Park)

The day is almost 9 hours old and there is no ITK, is this some kind of sick joke. We're clearly not buying anyone, we're getting relegated :D

It will be a damn shame if Bale does leave, but I'd like to think of the positives. He's been with us since he was 17. He's been coveted by some of Europe's biggest clubs since at least his hat-trick at the San Siro, yet he's stayed and played a massive part in providing us with some consistency in the league. I'm also glad that he became a world beater when he was still playing with us, as I don't think I've ever seen a Spurs player perform at such a consistently high level before.

He's raised our profile and made it possible for us to even entertain the idea of signing some of the players we've brought in or are looking to sign. Even if the money from his sale isn't related to our incomings, it will play a part elsewhere, such as contributing towards the new stadium. That's a legacy that will last for decades.

He's a magnificent player who hasn't said a single negative word in public about our club. I completely understand his desire to go become the next 'galactico', and I hope he does well there.

I'm beginning to believe that Bale's departure is somehow going to leave us with our strongest ever Premiership team. It's a win-win situation for almost everyone concerned.

agree with you (y)

I`m not even gonna burn my bale shirt :sneaky: - can`t say the same with my berbatov and rat face shirts. (hope they burn in hell)
