The Goat bleat about soton expecting money has worried me, otherwise I'd expect Bale to stay. I'm hoping their expectations are because of the media hype rather than official communications with Spurs..

Someone mentioned that a Youth Development fee may be payable separate to any agreed sell on. Don't know if true or why we didn't negotiate that aswell (if we are allowed), but that was the explanation.

Farking hellfire. That much? Would have thought it would be a more fixed sum kinda deal. I suppose it is at 5% but considering the transfer fee...I mean, yes, well done them etc but the best part of £5m for a player who they sold 6/7 yrs ago when he was a gangly 17 yr-old LB? Seems steep to me.

Still, just quibbling now. We did buy him because his ginormous potential so no complaints.
