Lucas will start as a 10 again. Jose has been waxing lyrical about him in recent weeks. At least Bale should get a start.

Lloris
Doherty Toby Rodon Reguilon
Hojbjerg Ndombele
Bale Dele Son
Kane
Subs: Hart, Aurier, Davies, Tanganga, Sissoko, Bergwijn, Lamela, Lucas, Vinicius
Jose will be weary of our susceptibility to conceding a header against Burnley. For this reason I could see Doherty (who has shown he is one of our strongest defenders the air) starting over Aurier. Based on the Europa League match selections I expect Reguilon to play but I think Davies could be a surprise starter as well (Jose went with Doherty-Toby-Dier-Davies in the reverse fixture).

Aurier needs to be back in the side asap though.

This should be the team. But like you say Jose may think more about what Burnley can do rather than what we can do..and that maybe his undoing.

I want balls to the wall José. Bale, Dele, Son and Kane running at Burnley from the start. Get it done José.

It’s all conjecture but Lucas will play ahead of Alli. I feel Dier will start to combat Burnley’s front line and for me Lamela is better coming on late in the games to open the game up and add energy (replace Bale on the hour) . Jose successfully brought on Lo Celso late on to do as much, earlier in the season on the hour for Ndombele.

Be likely that Bale starts, with Lucas at the weekend with Lamela Dele coming on, and then Dele starts on Wednesday against Fulham.
Toss a coin for the centre backs.

Never a fan of Joe's defensive mindset but I think a combination of Alli Bale and Son don't work defensively enough so Lamela to come in who also played well recently and on Thursday

Yeah I’m guessing it will be the same team that faced West Ham with Dier replaced and Bale in for Lamela. Lucas at 10.

Won't happen, would also be happy with Toby in at CB with Rodon.

Moura should be back up for Bale. Lamela and Dele fighting for the same place, and Bergwijn back up for Son.

I think Jose may add Sissoko to the starting line-up just for his physical presence.

Lloris

Aurier Toby Dier Reggie
PEH Ndombele
Dele
Bale Kane Son

Bale and Dele has to be given a start.
We all know our defense is horrible. I would go for toby and Eric just because I think they are the best of the lot.

Its strange but i feel kinda optimistic. Think we will win this game, and hope we will turn our bad form around and go chasing for that 4. place

I can imagine without even reading this thread that the vast majority of fan teams will resemble mine below:

Lloris

Tanganga
Anyone
Anyone
Reguilon

PEH
Ndombele
Dele

Bale
Son
Kane

It's so clear that we lack any sort of quality at CB at the minute, but also the biggest think we lack is leadership. Lloris doesn't, and never has, commanded the defense and our CB's are just not very good. We need someone who can manage the back line, be that a new GK or CB.

My Pick - assumes Aurier and Reg are fit to start (if not, switch with Doherty and Davies)

Lloris
Aurier - Toby - Dier - Reguilon
Hojbjerg - Ndombele
Bale Dele Son
Kane

Subs: Hart, Doherty, Davies, Tanganga, Sissoko, Bergwijn, Lamela, Lucas, Vinicius

--------------------Lloris---------------------
Aurier--Alderweireld--Rodon ----Reguilon
------------Hojbjerg---Ndombele------------
----Lamela--------Bale------------Son--------
--------------------Kane-------------------

Lamela and Bale both deserve to start. If we need energy in the middle then can use Lamela centrally, if Aurier needed help then play Lamela from the right. Both can be great for us from either position and could rotate freely if Mou is feeling all warm and fuzzy.

Then use Alli and Moura off the bench. Tangaga at RB is not a bad option either if Aurier isn't fit enough or if Mou wants to give Bale and Lamela a bit of freedom.

Give Alderweireld and Rodon a stable run of games together and we'll have the missing piece in the puzzle.

At the moment I think we have 7 nailed on starters.

GK - Lloris
RB - ????
LB - Reguilon
CB - ????
CB - ????
CM - Hojbjerg
CM - Ndombele
LW - Son
AM - ????
RW - Bale
CF - Kane

Aurier plays at RB if fit.
CB is up for grabs but just not a Dier/Sanchez combo.
Lamela, Dele, Moura or GLC as the no.10

If we can sort out those centre back positions then we are looking quite promising again.

I'd give Rodon a go now

I'm pretty sure that no one that started against Wolfsberger will also start against Burnley. This means that Toby (unfortunately) and Dier (thankfully) won't be part of the CB-pairing. It will probably be Rodon-Sanchez then. RB is a toss up between Aurier and Tanganga. Reguilon on LB.

PEH and Ndombele as the CM-pairing, and Son, Bale and Lucas in the three behind Kane, even if Alli definitely deserves some minutes, and could be key to winning.
