There really should be no reason why Perisic doesn’t start as he’s the fittest of the lot.

Hoping to see him & Doherty at wing back, but you just know Emerson will find a way into the team.

Perisic in Croatia WC form and Doherty in recent friendly (or last season even) form could actually see us getting something offensively from both WB positions. Really hope it’s those two starting.

Just don’t get near enough from Sessegnon or Emerson.

I think Conte plays Davo (and maybe Emerson), but if I ran the zoo:

Forster
Tanganga - Dier - Lenglet
Doc - PEH - Biss - Perisic
Kulu - Kane - Sonny
I like that team, I'd be surprised if tanganga starts but I'd give him a run in the team at rcb ahead of sanchez.

Doherty would be another one who needs a run of games.

I am excited to see more of bissouma, and thank god kulusevski is back, watching spurs without him was excruciatingly boring.

My only worry about that team is pace. Son aside of course

I think Doherty is the most nailed on of all the wing-backs to start. I suspect he’ll be on the left with Emerson on the right, and Ivan on the bench, but if it’s Matt on the right (where he links up so well with Deki) and Ivan on the left, that’s great too… and probably the way to go for the months ahead, unless we can sign a RWB Conte really likes next month.

We need to go after the Morocco right back! Was fantastic in the world cup.

Thought it was interesting that when Conte said about the importance of having had time to work with the players the first two he name checked were Bissouma and Japh Tanganga. Tanganga has played right centreback in all the recent friendlies and looked decent. I could see him deputising for Romero.

Tanganga starting is my worst nightmare

The BBC suggesting that he's only going to use players that weren't involved in the World Cup. Obviously the masochistic thrill of throwing a hissy fit matters more to him than getting 3 points, if that's the case.

If Skipp is out, then he only has White (who hasn't started at CM in the last few games).

Hojbjerg or (less likely) Sarr will probably start.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

BBC: "Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has suggested he will only select players who were not involved in the World Cup for his side's Boxing Day match at Brentford".

Could be mind games, could be that he feels that if players not involved in the WC have worked hard over the last month then they deserve a chance?

Conte will have had a month to work with them. I just can't see someone like Dier not being part of the line up.

Sanchez, Tanganga and Lenglet back 3 does not fill me with any confidence.
