Constantly cutting in without being able to beat your man on the inside is getting tedious. And with underlapping full backs, it'd be nice to see us get to the byline far more often and efficiently.

And Villa play a high line like us, so get them turning often.

I suspect that the fans are more heated than the players - I hope they will also know what is riding on the outcome of the game - win, and we control our own destiny for 4th place, and a CL spot.

This is sexy. But I would understand Ange being hesitant to start with this midfield against Villa. Deki is going to need to be very disciplined against McGinn, Luiz, etc. in midfield. Thus said, I feel better about it with Royal covering in behind rather than Porro.

I think Johnson - Son - Werner up front and dropping Kulu for Sarr is how I would start (if Sarr is fully fit). Kulu and [Richy?] off the bench will be a handful too.

Hopefully Ajax give them a good game Thursday night. With Jordan Henderson pulling the strings I’m not that optimistic though.

Our best midfield is Biss, Sarr and Maddison and that’s who we should start.

Johnson has shown his best as a sub and that’s where he should be used with Kulu starting on the left but knowing Johnson is pushing for his spot.

Werner to start, he was impressive against Palace and Son through the centre.

Basically the same as Pinky, but would still keep Kulusevski in. Only because I think he can be a good carrier of the ball as well as being better at holding it up, and both Werner and Johnson are similar in that they're more effective with their off the ball runs. Johnson may have the better impact from the bench too.
