I suspect that the fans are more heated than the players - I hope they will also know what is riding on the outcome of the game - win, and we control our own destiny for 4th place, and a CL spot.I hope nobody gets sent off on our side.
I've a feeling this game might get a bit heated.
No way I'd be dropping our fastest player for a game where realistically we could get in behind at will. Back four picks itself, then I'd go:I'd like to see us without inverted wingers. Play Johnson right and Kulusevski left. With Son up top and Maddison in the hole.
Constantly cutting in without being able to beat your man on the inside is getting tedious. And with underlapping full backs, it'd be nice to see us get to the byline far more often and efficiently.
And Villa play a high line like us, so get them turning often.
This is sexy. But I would understand Ange being hesitant to start with this midfield against Villa. Deki is going to need to be very disciplined against McGinn, Luiz, etc. in midfield. Thus said, I feel better about it with Royal covering in behind rather than Porro. No way I'd be dropping our fastest player for a game where realistically we could get in behind at will. Back four picks itself, then I'd go:
Bissouma
Deki - Maddison
Johnson - Son - Werner
Hopefully they learned that lesson v Chelsea gotta keep calmI hope nobody gets sent off on our side.

Vicario
Porro
Romero
VDV
Udogie
Bissouma
Sarr
Maddison
Johnson
Son
Werner
Subs: Austin, Royal, Davies, Dragusin, Skipp, PEH, Bentancur, Lo Celso, Kulusevski
Basically the same as Pinky, but would still keep Kulusevski in.
Nope. We've got to be smarter.Happy for Romero to get sent off for going in hard on cash
But that’s so… sensible!!Nope. We've got to be smarter.
This is a game we can win, and that should be the players' sole focus.
