Its not that I see 4th as "impossible" its that I don't see 4th as necessary - and thus won't be disappointed if we finish 5th. This has been a long strange season - and while we have had our sites on a top-4 finish - I don't see it as the difference between a good or bad season. We have made improvements, and we still have improvements to make over the summer. We should be concerned with our own target which is 4th. I don't know why people are acting like it's impossible. Win this and we give ourselves a chance.
I think it’s really small time to change our approach at home because we are afraid of them. If we lose so be it, but being cowardly because we’re afraid of them is much worse imo.
It’s not arrogant at all. It’s a fact. We have been in the highest league in the country probably since before you were born, unless maybe you are 50? I would be pretty sure that 90% of posters on here can’t remember Tottenham not being in the PL/equivalent.
None of the best teams change their tactics because they are afraid of the opposition. I can’t remember Spain, Barcelona, Man U, Man C, Arsenal changing their tactics.
Maybe you’re right about teams like Newcastle and Villa changing their approach. We’ll probably finish above Newcastle this season though.

I will be disappointed if we finish 6th though.
We’re absolutely not finishing 7th are we, come on!!!yep, we need to consolidate our current position. Given our current form, injuries and fixtures we’ve more chance of finishing 6th or 7th than 4th. Whether it be to secure 5th and/or to give ourselves reasons to be optimistic next season, we need to finish the season strongly and not end it with a whimper. Carry with the same form and not only will be likely slide down the table and blow all our early season hard work, we risk getting played off the park by Arsenal, City, Liverpool and even Chelsea.
We are nowhere near consistent enough to get 4th. It probably went with that Newcastle result and the Villa win put the nail in the coffin. We should be concerned with our own target which is 4th. I don't know why people are acting like it's impossible. Win this and we give ourselves a chance.
Could be wrong but I think this style of football will probably produce enough chances to pick up at least some points in those games. That's to say I don't think we'll lose them all with the amount of chances we've created and goals we've scored this season. We are still dangerous to teams who give us space even if we are shambles at the back.yep, we need to consolidate our current position. Wasn't the point of that pathetic day that it happens every single year without fail... but lets forget the 6 years straight recently when it didn't happen shall we?An Arsenal fan has just pointed out to me that if they win tonight and we don't beat them on Sunday then they get to celebrate their stupid fucking special day at The Lane.
That can't happen
We have to win. And leave Saka crawling off the pitch, not limping.

It would take a ridiculous set of circumstances to finish 6th let alone 7th.
6th is barely a mathematical possibility. It would though, 6th is a real possibility. It will take a real turn around in form to get anything against the top 3 and Chelsea = max 66 pts
Newcastle, other than Man U and may be Brighton they’ll be expected to turn over everyone else. You’re looking at max 68 pts. Although that means winning all of their remaining games, unless they pick up further injuries they’ll steam roller the opposition.
Man U are looking at 59 - 62 pts.
This would put us in 6th. If we get rolled over by Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, the Burnley game will be tough with them fighting for survival. Sheff Utd won’t be a push over on the final day either.

They're Arsenal. This is the weird sort of shit they live for. Anything that will generate clicks for their fans on social media they will hop on board.Wasn't the point of that pathetic day that it happens every single year without fail... but lets forget the 6 years straight recently when it didn't happen shall we?
So we’re rubbish and the teams below us by 10 points over 32 games are brilliant, got ya!!It would though, 6th is a real possibility. It will take a real turn around in form to get anything against the top 3 and Chelsea = max 66 pts

It's a bit of an ask sure but Villa are also just as inconsistent as we areWe are nowhere near consistent enough to get 4th. It probably went with that Newcastle result and the Villa win put the nail in the coffin.
I'll be shocked if we get any more than 4 points from Arsenal, Liverpool and City. And unfortunately, Chelsea are also capable of giving us a gubbing if we don't turn up.
