Would you take that for Tottenham in the next 3 years?Year 1 EFL Cup + Europa League
Year 2 2nd place league
Year 3 wheels off
Most would.

In a heartbeat. But I'd hope we'd get over the line in that second season scenario and finish first tooWould you take that for Tottenham in the next 3 years?
Most would.
Pretty much. But it’s ok, we have Harry Potter waiting in the wings. So basically, you can write off all of Mourinho's achievements for a variety of reasons

Unfortunately, I think other factors may seriously affect us in that, with the predictions of an even worse covid outbreak this winter, I really can't see the club being very active in the transfer market, if at all . For once, you couldn't really blame them. Its also pretty unlikely that we will be able to shift the players we want either. Mind you, if there is another long lockdown, next season will probably be curtailed anyway.Thing is, it won't take much next season before all that has happened this season might be forgotten and Mourinho and Tottenham is what everybody talking about. It's a sport of the tiniest margins, and if a few of those iota sized margins go our way, we get off to a good start, have a solid home run and get a good Europa League group, the fact that it is Mourinho who is in charge - everybody will love that. I'm not saying it's all about getting to the start of the season and all will be fine. I'm saying very, very little needs to go right for us to have a very, very fun season.
So let's just get each other through and see just what emerges on the other side.
I would also take their transfer and wage budget.Would you take that for Tottenham in the next 3 years?
Most would.
OK you hate Mourinho. You might as well write in each response "You are wrong because I hate Mourinho". It would be as fruitful.I would also take their transfer and wage budget.
Context.
Nah, next season will have to unfold more or less as normal. Otherwise the professional sport as we know it will be on its deathbed.Unfortunately, I think other factors may seriously affect us in that, with the predictions of an even worse covid outbreak this winter, I really can't see the club being very active in the transfer market, if at all . Really? I don't hate him. I rate him. If I were a fan of chelsea, Madrid, Arsenal, Inter or Juve I'd welcome him with open arms. I think he is wrong for Spurs, culturally and could do real.harm to a very disjointed squad.OK you hate Mourinho. You might as well write in each response "You are wrong because I hate Mourinho". OkNothing wrong with asking questions however this is like asking Gordon Ramsay if he can make toast
If you don't hate him then why don't you just give him a chance to see whether he can do it or not?Really? I don't hate him. I rate him. Ive been very clear on that distinction because it is too easy to be sidelined as simply anti Mourinho in this thread. Saying you're anti Mourinho in here is a bit like saying you're anti Trump on Breitbart. People don't really think if they feel you're criticising them...
Well that simply won't be allowed if there is another major outbreak and that is the worry that will be at the forefront of DL's mind.Nah, next season will have to unfold more or less as normal. Otherwise the professional sport as we know it will be on its deathbed.
Yes and no, I’d say even against a parked bus having two strikers gives more options when crossing and gives the CB’s more to think about as often Kane be some very isolated when we play 4-2-3-1. It will only work in certain games but it’s a good option to have.Nothing to do with the formation. It was because arsenal were far more open than a lot of teams we've played of late.
When an organised team parks the bus it matters very little what formation we play if there is little movement from the forward players.
Anyone thinking this tactical change of formation is going to be a turning point for us is going to be very disappointed.
If you don't hate him then why don't you just give him a chance to see whether he can do it or not?
Then if he fails we can all band together and join you with your misgivings.
You keep mentioning he's wrong for us, culturally.Really? I don't hate him. I rate him. If I were a fan of chelsea, Madrid, Arsenal, Inter or Juve I'd welcome him with open arms. I think he is wrong for Spurs, culturally and could do real.harm to a very disjointed squad.
