Everbody and their mother knows about this man; he probably garners more attention than any coach on earth right now, which means if nothing else we will be in the spotlight for his entire tenure here. So, questions:

1). Are you happy/pleased/content/relieved or- conversely- are you beyond disgusted now that "The Special One" is taking the reigns from Poch?

2). Do you think his appointment will be beneficial to us in the short term? How about over the long term?

3). Do you reckon he will play boring, lockdown, 1-nil to the Tottenham-style football or do you think he'll produce a good product on the pitch?

4). Which players- if any- do you think will benefit from his appointment, and which players do you think will suffer with him taking the helm?

5). Do you predict a trophy- or trophies- under him?

Lastly, what are you thoughts in general about his hiring? My Ars*nal mate reckoned he'd never come to Spurs because of Levy's tightfistedness, but now he's here so, yeah...is this a good thing or will it all end in tears (or both)?

• Huge name = attractive to current and future top players.
• Ruthless decision maker with decisive in game tactics.

Cons:

• Runs his mouth constantly.
• Believes his own hype.
• Divisive.
• Teams tend to be dull viewing.
• Pisses off boards, fans and players alike.
• Stubborn.

None of Mourinho’s pros are common to the version of Pochettino who left us. All of the cons are.

I don’t like Mourinho, but I’d understand his appointment, I’ll support him, and should he deliver trophies I’ll celebrate him, particularly if the brand of football is at all attractive.

I've had reservations about Jose ever since it became a real possibility that Poch would go, but I think he's the right man for this moment in the club's history.

We've got squad full of brilliant players -- a flawed squad to be sure, but one with genuine world class players at multiple positions. We've seen what this group is capable of, but ever since the catastrophic 2018 summer window there's been a pall hanging over the club which we've never been able to fully shake off. Jose will shock the players out of their complacency, swiftly deal with the malcontents, get the team organized and well-drilled in a way it has not been for some time, and instill a winning mentality in a group of players who have lacked that severely.

There are certainly reasons to be concerned over what this will mean in the long term, especially given that his traditional preferences in the transfer market are completely and utterly at odds with Levy's, but if he is given full backing in January I see no reason he can't turn this group of players into winners. He's done it everywhere he's ever been.

I've always liked him and he is a proven top class manager. We need him or someone like him now. Kane is essentially the perfect Jose striker and we have the likes of Sissoko, Dier and N'dombele in midfield they all look like his type of players. That is all positive. Not all his team's have been negative, he is pragmatic and will play to our strengths.

Another thing to mention is that he currently has a point to prove, that is good news for us.

Not special anymore and bad fit with Levy. Better to wait for Ancelotti or get Allegri but better Mourinho than Howe. Ten Haag won't come until summer and bigger clubs will want him. I don't like Mourinho but I'll support him if we hire him, at least ITKs of him clashing with Levy, medical staff, players, Donna Cullen etc will be fun.

1. Disappointed Poch is going and REALLY don’t think Moanhio is a good fit for our club or our chairmen. It’s got clusterfuck written all over it.

2. short term, yes (this season) beyond that it will start unravelling when Levy refuses to spend.

3. Boring cynical football.

4. Tough one. He’ll basically want a new team from a defensive aspect so they won’t gain imho. Obviously attackers won’t gain under him.

5. No trophies, ship steadied followed by a blow up this time next year after Levy doesn’t back him.

And finally, It’ll end in tears - incompatible with Levy.

I really anticipate Jose coming in with a massive point to prove, purely because his ego wouldn't allow him to fail.

Id imagine he has been promised funds to spend in jan and hope some of his contacts will help us bring in some players that previously we weren't maybe in the running for.

For the first time in recent history we will have an established, elite, winning coach. As sad as it makes me seeing Poch and Jesus leaving, there's no point dwelling.

Get behind Jose and more than anyone, the players

People can say Jose plays boring football, but football isn't boring when you're winning, and that's what he does. I'd rather win a boring 1-0 than draw 4-4
