Chelsea loaned Piazon to Malaga
Paris loaned Lugano to Malaga

It seems they are all trying to get love from the Malaga Chairman for a possible Isco Deal. At the end he is going to Bayern (hopefully)

Or Malaga are skint and they are only signing on loan

so sky ran this story today as well, that he is "close" to a new contract. I find it a little odd tbh. Aren't they really skint now and have just been trying to keep their name clear with UEFA? Wouldn't think they would be well positioned to offer a lot more money to him and even if they did I have no clue why Isco would sign. He knows he can get a move this summer at least to a top club and double/triple his money most likely.

Regardless, looks like another wonderful player we have missed out on even though we had ample opportunity.

Signed a new contract and his buy-out clause is now £35m.
0nly Chavs, Citeh or PSG or possibly Bayern (started a new policy according to Honigstein where they will just bring in one star player a season and develop & promote youth for the rest of the squad) will have a chance of geting now.

Looks like this has reared it's head again...

Tottenham Will Launch Mega Bid For Isco If Champions League Football Is Secured

Spurs want Spanish forward at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham have made Malaga forward Isco their top summer target – provided they can secure Champions League football for next season.
Isco, 20, has emerged as one of the hottest properties in Europe with his performances for Malaga in La Liga and Europe this season, helping Manuel Pellegrini’s side to fifth in the league and the Champions League quarter-final.
Spurs sent head of youth development Tim Sherwood to scout Isco last summer but declined making a bid for the Spanish international.
But after the patchy form of both Clint Dempsey and Gylfi Sigurdsson this season, head-coach Andre Villas-Boas has instructed his chairman Daniel Levy to sign Isco this summer. It is believed the club’s pursuit of the playmaker is dependent on finishing in the Premier League top four and securing Champions League football for next season.
Villas-Boas is attracted by Isco’s ability to play both centrally and on the left wing, particularly with Gareth Bale increasingly playing behind in the hole.
Isco, who has scored 11 goals in 37 appearances for the Spaniards this season, is also being tracked by Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona.
The player only signed a new contract in January, which increased his release-clause to £29.9m, almost double Spurs’ record transfer fee – the £16m spent on David Bentley in 2008.
But the north London outfit are hopeful that Malaga will agree to sell their prize asset for considerably less, particularly with the mismanaged club banned from European competition, when they next qualify, for at least one year following a series of unpaid bills.

For some reason I doubt Levy will ever do what a mere mortal wants

Caughtoffside is a fun side, but it's full of shit . If every team signed every player they said, there would be multiples of the same player playing for United, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool.

This is so typical of Spurs. Fanny about when a player is attainable, only to go in for him seriously when his price has doubled and every top team will be after him.

Well if Bayern have tied up Goetze then they aren't likely to go for Isco, though Pep is reportedly a big fan, but there's a number of other big clubs that will no doubt be asking about him to put him out of our price bracket

Great player though who really stepped up and matured this season when Cazorla moved and is only going to get better even if maybe he showed better form earlier this season. He's still doing well mind just probably feeling the weight of a long season including a great CL run and maybe the weight of so much expectation

No chance, if we come in with any sort of decent offer of say £20m either Chavs, PSG or Shitty will just meet the release clause.

Indeed or blow us out of the water on wages. Last summer was our opportunity to sign him and we basically blew it

Ah sorry mate, I didn't know this. I didn't see the story on the Caughtoffside site, it was a link provided on another forum I visit every now & again.. I'm not too familiar with this lad but, judging by the responses below yours, he's quite a talent? I struggle to believe we'd pay the reported fee though!!

BUT would he go to any of them? Surely, even with the money those clubs pay, the player himself would look at the quality they already have at their disposal & think to himself "am I going to get the amount of playing time I'd like"?? Surely, if he's as good as the responses here suggest, he'd be pretty much guaranteed the lions share of time on the pitch if he were to consider us as a viable option?

Isco and Bale moving free around a lone striker with a midfield trio behind them and attacking full backs would be insane.
Fear he's out of our reach though.

Isco - No9 - Bale
Dembele
Holtby - Sandro
Rose - Vertonghen - Kaboul - Walker
Lloris
