I said exactly the same thing in a different forum.

I hope we continue our winning streak, because it seems jose has ruffled many feathers with his team selection and untimely substitutions. If we can maintain this run with spots of bad results then its ok, but if our form dips, this will not bode well for the dressing room.
Joses remit is to win every possible game. He manages the squad with relation to that. The subs were put in to ensure that the win was secured with another goal. It's up to the players who aren't in the team to prove to him that they deserve a shot and earn his trust.
Although their opportunities have been limited, the likes of alli havnt exactly covered themselves in glory when featured. That's the life of a top notch squad with depth across most positions:)

Cheers, mate! I agree - but be careful about expressing your opinion on here!

You can't have a genuine critical conversation on this site anymore without coming under personal attack. It used to be a lot more enjoyable - more civilised, even - when I first joined back in 2005. Now it's just dominated by a bunch of "fans" who shout down whoever doesn't comply to their own view. Funny, because I've been a season ticket holder for more than 25 years now and the same bunch of blokes that I sat with in the West Stand for many years actually enjoy a bit of proper banter - decent conversation, say what you think but always accept that another long time, paying fan is equally entitled to their opinion. No harm, we're all there to support the team through good days & bad. Whereas, on this site, you have people like @Gb160 and others who are invisible keyboard warriors and aren't like any real fans that I know....

Re Bale, he still has the quality. I’m not yet convinced he has the desire to push himself hard enough to get back into the starting 11. It’s going to require a huge effort from him if we are challenging.
I Think it's because it's Europa, he's playing tentatuvely which isnt going to see his best. Got to remember that this is a guy who's won it all at the big stage. LASK, Ludogorets & Antwerp is a massive climb down. Once he's playing in bigger games he'll push himself more. I'm convinced of it.

i am genuinely sorry you feel that way. No one should feel like they are treated with malice and contempt on a community forum. In particular one that has a common theme that brings us all together; our love and collective frustration with what it means to be a Spurs fan.

However, you have made a fairly generalized statement about a few thousand strangers, whose intent is to chat, and yes, occasionally debate about the team. And hopefully do so with at least a modicum of respect. my experience is that 95 percent of the community are all well meaning, even when in strong disagreement.

What makes a fan is many different things. You may not agree with how they communicate or respond to you, but they are still fans, who much like you, love the team.

So, I hope you don’t go, and if there are folks who get under your skin, just hit the ‘ol ignore button. Don’t let few folks sour your experience. Keep on, keepin’ on, old chap!

So because you've been an ST holder for 25 years it instantly means you're a better fan than others? .

You say paying fans are entitled to their opinion, so does that mean someone who doesn't go, or can't afford to go, or lives the other side of the world and can't go as often, isn't as entitled to their opinion as those paying fans?

You're calling others keyboard warriors and then tagging someone to make a point, the very definition of a keyboard warrior.

come on guys let’s stop feeding the guy. it’s like this after every game just a few blokes with agendas causing negativity and everyone piles on and the atmosphere is ruined

just ignore the idiots who preach about “the spurs way- they’re outdated and the club isn’t. we are now yet again on the precipice of playing with the big boys now. let’s enjoy it while it lasts because it won’t be forever

Keep on winning Jose, it’s hilarious seeing all these weird so called Spurs “fans”’getting all angry about that very fact. It’s quite simple, if you don’t like Spurs winning then you are not a very good supporter of this club. Simples.

Lo celso was magnificent, but bergwijn really impressed me too with his determination (and success) to beat his man whenever he got the ball. This is the player I’ve seen first hand for psv and at the beginning of his time here. It’s forgotten he’s still one of the most talented wide men in Europe, and it’s why I was so excited when we signed him.

Maybe he’s finally getting some fitness back after getting a run of games?

Hopefully the same can happen with GLC.

The thing is, you sound like one of the season ticket holders who sits around me every home game and just moans and moans and moans, doesn’t sing and just comes to chat with his mates. Hopefully you aren’t like that but that’s what you sound like to me. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve supported the club if this is your persona. It drives me fucking mad at home matches and soon will stop me going. It’s more of a turn off than bad and losing football, I’ve seen enough of that in my 33 years supporting spurs.

I agree with you to an extent about having a different opinion on SC than the majority, it changed this year and I fully suspect lockdown is behind it and people‘s frustrations. But one thing you shouldn’t be frustrated with is the direction the club is going. I’d say I probably haven’t enjoyed or been exhilarated watching us in the main for 2 years, until this season. Honestly if you can’t enjoy us being top of the league or not losing games (we’ve lost 3 games in all competitions since lockdown ended) then I don’t know what you want from the club. I don’t want another 12 years of not winning anything, I know that.

I've been going to Spurs for 35 years, season ticket holder for the last 15 years mate.

West Stand, moaning...makes sense.

My season ticket used to be in the west lower. Definitely a hell of a lot less moaning there than what I’ve been subjected to in the south stand in the new place. If it’s a reflection of the season ticket holders who were there in the old stadium then it’s not a good look!

Of course, those trashing Alli, Winks, Bale, Sanchez, even Moura (!!) now and backing Mourinho are typically fickle of this forum.

Yet plenty of keyboard warriors on here

Really don't like giving neg reps on here but these comments are a bit uncalled for IMO.

With job done last night-a sense of satisfaction overall (not Liverpool smug yet)-we are in a good place at the moment and looking good.
Why am I waiting for the cards to collapse-is this normal?

Mate, it was you went on the attack, calling people keyboard warriors because they dared to disagree with you and happened to put their argument across better than you.

Now, according to you, they're not real fans?

Are you Donald Trump?

Yes this is not a site for sharing opinions. It has become like the vast majority of social media forums, just a shouting block for a particular viewpoint and best avoided by others
