When Dier first came here, he played a few games as RB and wasn’t too bad at that position.

If he isn’t suited for DM, then we could use him as alternative RB or CB until we get a better RB in to rotate with KWP.

Try Foyth out as a DM.

The bloke next to me spent the whole game scribbling notes - lineups, subs, goal scorers etc - then cleared off on 85 minutes, thus missing the crucial goal for his notebook!
The curse of the modern fan I'm afraid...too busy analysing and pretending he's a pundit than actually enjoying the game, or heaven forbid...supporting the team.

Was going behind so early
Pochettino's cunning plan?
Dele and Toby were clearly in on it.
They went defensive
and said ''Beat us if you can''
So we did eventually.
That's why we didn't have a DM from the very start.

Cant wait for the inter game. The fans need to be as up for it as the players though. An actual atmosphere will be essential that night. Barcelona would have comfortably won the group by then. Of course they will, but they'd be mad to play Messi.

Listening to the radio last night, it sounded like they were dominant, but playing it like a training game last night. If they (hopefully) take their foot off the gas then hopefully we'll get the result we need.

3 wins out of 4 in 9 days, however stressful is to be applauded, especially with our injuries

Thinktank making notes about how Foyth would have won the game from midfield.

Maybe he wanted to get in the match thread before the game ended. He’ll be on here somewhere!

On Lucas and this booing nonsense. There was a point where we had a throw on in the attacking third just before Lucas was subbed and instead of finding space he went and stood next to a PSV player so he couldn’t get the ball.

Its little things like that Poch will see and lots will miss. It’s why he’s our manager.

To have been posting poems like that for nearly 12 years is some commitment. That one's right up there for me. Those last two lines give real closure to the piece.

I felt that game yesterday was a real dominant display, but our defence is weak. Our wing backs are certainly a far cry from where we were a couple of years ago and it's telling. Davies has no physicality (though it was a good dug out cross for the Kane header), Trippier is making mistakes, Aurier still hasn't kicked on, plus Toby is not on it and Hugo is blowing hot & cold, so we have one CB performing (Sanchez). It's a conundrum for Poch to solve because we can't go conceding goals at this rate and make the grade this season.
