Sportsmail understands Spurs are keen on a move for Bournemouth's Aaron Ramsdale if the south coast club are relegated, while Watford's Ben Foster and Fulham's Marcus Bettinelli are also of interest.

Foster would make a lot of sense. Will he want to leave Watford though? Even if they do go down.

Seems the type that’d want to play regularly at the age he is wouldn’t be surprised if he stayed with Watford. I think if we got ramsdale he’d be better off being loaned out seeing how young he is. Bettinelli would probably be best bet for a back up

The absolute king of time wasting.

So many times I've wanted to jump on the pitch at the lane when he'd be taking years for a goal kick:ROFLMAO:

The 3 linked keepers would all be Number 2s, may be flappy fingers Gazzaniga is off? I know Vorm is going but we’ve had ITK that we’re going to assess our existing HG keepers as a potential replacement.

Unless Gazzaniga is off, none of this keeper talk makes sense. You’d think the 3rd keeper would either be an over the hill HG guy to boost our HG quota or be Austin/Whiteman.

I’d hope Hugo signs a new contract to keep him with us a few more years before we have to start to look for a new keeper. And we certainly cannot be thinking of replacing him with fucking Ben Foster or Aaron Ramsdale.

Why not just get the best hg goalie we can and also keep Gazzaniga? That way we have three good keepers in case of a big injury, we aren’t wasting non-hg slots on a position that lacks rotation and we the competition might even push all of them to improve.

Worst case if we got Ramsdale (who is looking like he will be very good) is that after a year of reduced playing time, Gazzaniga wants to leave, but at least in Ramsdale we’ve potentially succession planned well for Hugo.

How can Foster come to us? We provide him with two of his best performances every year. How you gonna make a highlight reel Ben if you come to Spurs?

Absolutely fucking not. I remember watching a documentary when he went down with WBA a couple of years ago and he said he'd lost the passion for the game and that was then. He's hardly going to be up for it 3 years later!

He’s also 37, due to retire soon and a goal line hogger.
