Sportsmail understands Spurs are keen on a move for Bournemouth's Aaron Ramsdale if the south coast club are relegated, while Watford's Ben Foster and Fulham's Marcus Bettinelli are also of interest.

English and young talented. Despite being faced with relegation, he’s done quite good for Bournemouth

He'd be my pick but would he want to sit on the bench after playing a season in the PL?

Might make sense if we view him as the heir to Lloris. I believe Lloris' contract expires in 2022, so we could feasibly move him on next summer if we felt Ramsdale was ready to take over full-time. With (potentially) Europa, FA Cup and (potentially) Carabao Cup, and with Lloris' injury history, there'd be plenty of games to go around. It's a weird one though as Ramsdale seems like a different tier entirely in regards to a pricetag.

And those two are stood behind better defences. This guy has no chance with the wallies in front of him
Yeah, they have better defences and are conceding more than they should.
For comparison, this season only Krul and Dubravka faced more dangerous shots than Ramsdale. He conceded 2 goals more than expected while Krul conceded 1,5 goals less and Dubravka conceded 8,5 goals less than he should.

It would mean we replaced the best shot stopper this season for one of the worst shot stoppers this season

Fair enough. Where you getting those stats from out of interest?

Is he any better than Gazza?

My worry is you buy a goalkeeper based on him playing twice a week. Once he's only playing once every 2 months he's bound to lose his match sharpness. He's a good keeper, but if Gazza is happy to stick around I'd rather keep him as a capable if not spectacular number 2.

Yeh but we need three goalkeepers, and one of them needs to be homegrown. I don't think this is a new number 2, more a homegrown player to compete for the n2 spot.

In that case it'll be a no from him I expect. Doubt a keeper who has just completed a full PL season would come in with no guarantees of even being our number 2.

He’s awful. One of the worst goalkeepers I’ve ever seen in the Prem. Young and homegrown though.

Edit - love the disagrees, some of you lot see English and young and get blinded. He’s fucking shit lads, can only assume you’ve never seen him play. Gimme more so I can put you in my excel doc of people who don’t know anything about football :troll::troll:

I think it's a long shot too. But, no keeper should be guaranteed anything. You come to train, that's it. N.2 should always be on merit, if the player trusts there ability, there shouldn't be a problem.
