One Russian paper saying Zenit plan to sell him in January.

R-Sport, citing its own sources in Brazil, claims that the Zenit leadership may sell Malcolm, who had just moved to the St. Petersburg club from Barcelona, in January.

According to a source, the club management fears that the fans did not accept the player. Earlier, fans posted a banner during the fourth round of the RPL match with Krasnodar , which hinted at a discontent with the acquisition of a black player.

Malcolm eventually made his debut for Zenit in this meeting.

Zenit paid 40 million euros for the Brazilian.

That is exactly what happened when they signed Hulk.

Malcolm racially abused on his debut for Zenit. Disgusting.

His career really has gone down the shitter
No surprise there unfortunately, really horrible for any player. I feel sorry for him. Personally I always thought he was over rated having watched a lot of him at Bordeaux. Still, sorry to see he has already ended up in Russia.

I don't know who that is but Doucoure would be a fantastic signing for them. I would've liked him at Spurs.

I really rate Maguire, hope it works out for him.

Don't get me wrong, I hate United as much as the next fan, but I can really see him having a great career with United and England.

I think he's a good player but I think he will crumble under the pressure. Considering how shit their defence has been, everyone will be counting on him being their VvD.

This did cross my mind, however with the re-emergence of Shaw and Lindelof last season, coupled with Maguire and AWB they've got a pretty strong first choice defence which could be around for 5-6 seasons to come.

Shaw (24) - Lindelof (25) - Maguire (25) - AWB (21)

De Gea

That's not horrendous by any stretch of the imagination.

I personally think they'll struggle to get goals this season. Rashford, Martial and Sanchez aren't going to score 20 goals a piece. If they don't replace Lukaku, they will have a lot of boring low-scoring games next season.

It's a lot of money but honestly I think he's worth £80m to United, given the state of their defence. He's young, solid, and a leader, and proven in the league and internationally. United badly needed a quality CB and they've done what it takes to get him. If he and AWB drastically improve their defence then the money will have been worth it.

Same with VVD. Everyone thought Liverpool had overpaid a bit for him, and Alisson, but turns out the money was worth it.

We should do the same with GLC if he really is our number one target. There's only one of him, so make it happen Levy.

I get where you're coming from, but £80m for Harry Maguire is an absolutely tragic piece of business.

Time will tell whether he's worth it or not I guess.
