Seems a strange one, as he's been doing very well in the US - seemingly turning DC's form right around. Says he has 2 years left but they have a deal in place to cancel it.
Would be odd for that to happen for no reason?

Family reasons. It was reported that his missus isn't happy out there and was moving herself and the kids back to the UK.
I doubt he wants to be playing in the Championship, but needs to get something sorted and the English deadline is looming.
