The National League looks interesting this year as the two big teams went up. Liking the look of Barnet's recent signings (Coker, Zak Brunt & Oluwo is a mixture of experience and yoof) and signing Pritchard and Walker to longer deals was important. I think they may be one to watch. Any other followers of the league or any other non league competition tell us your predictions for next season.

Regarding the Nationsl League.

This morning my hometown team Southend United are once again back in the High Court In all likelihood the team I love second only to Spurs, will be wound up due to the chairman be an incompetent, greedy c*?t.

117 years of Southend United seriously in peril due to him.

Too depressed to write more only that thousands of supporters have been put through the wringer by this bastard. Lile thousands of Shrimpers I feel like a condemned man walking towards the gallows.

I thought there was an agreement for a sale in place after the last winding up order was dealt with? Sad if that's fallen through.

No town deserves to lose their club like that.

I really feel for you all, S****horpe went through exactly this recently, and we're lucky to be saved at the death. The reality is though that we're now in national league north, potentially without a ground or a training ground. I really hope something can be done late on for Southend.

They got a reprieve didn't they?

6 week court reprieve but its simply treading water. Two.pre season friendlies at Canvey and Billericay called off because they can't raise a team. Their place in National League looks doomed for similar reason and debts everywhere means still under a transfer embargo. All due to one man's incompetence and greed. Mote than depressing.

There's yet another demonstration outside Ron Martin's House today at nearby Benfleet. All the different Southend supporters clubs and podcasters gave come together Essex Police have warned them to keep it non violent and have patrols there today. It's a horrible situation to be all down to a con man in charge.

I remember being in the Old Red Lion by Underhill when Barnet played Southend back in 2000. Proper noisy bunch. We had a right laugh with them and to top it all the Bees won 2-1. Great season that was and Barnet almost got promoted. Went down the season after though! I wish the Shrimpers and their fans luck with getting rid of that leach of a chairman and getting back into the league sharpish (not before Barnet though ;)).

Scunny have being doing well in pre-season. Draws against Hull and Doncaster, wins against Burton Albion, Ilkestone and Gainsborough. Let's hope they take that into this weekend and start strong, and get straight back up to the National League. They're taking 750 to Tamworth tomorrow, and are likely going to be the strongest supported side in that division this year.

That's great support. Good luck to Scunny this season.

Well done Shrimpers... 4-0 thumping of Oldham.

Scunny with a 2-1 away win to start us off on our way back up.
Yes two excellent results for both SUFC's. My cousin's son Jack Bridge plays for Southend. I'm just hoping the buyout takeover happens soon.

Good luck to Scunny.

Bees won 3-2 against Hartlepool (monkey killers) after being 3-0 up. Deano has them playing some nice football and if they cut out the defensive mistakes (fat chance) they will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

Another win for the Bees away at Bromley. Southend and Chesterfield also on two wins so far. Long way to go but think it will be an exciting season for the nomads in Harrow.

Southend's cowson bastard of an owner was back in the High Court today. It's the 25th time Southend have been hauled before the beak in as many years under his tenure. The judge said if it wasn't for the supporters the club would have today been wound up. Martin says the club will be sold before October 1st which is when they are due back before him. An Australian is buying the club with the assistance of local businessman. The club only have 15 players on their books as they've been under a transfer embargo for the 8past 12 months. They've also been deducted 10 points today by the league. With all their woes Southend still pull in 5-6,000 crowds every game. They've also sold out all their tickets for the first three away games too. The supporters deserve much better

As a Dagenham fan, I'm just glad we're no longer bottom of the league 😅 it won't be for long though. We've looked awful in the first four games, and if it hadn't been for a last minute equaliser from Harry Phipps in the first match vs Altrincham, we'd be on 0 points.

We're on a reduced budget this season after the last manager, Daryl McMahon, spent fortunes and didn't deliver playoff finishes. Apparently the American owner is over to visit for this weekend's home tie vs Barnet. If we were to lose that too, hopefully it'll spur him into injecting some extra cash into the side.

Thankfully they've started with three wins from five including a win after the protest last night.
