Sounds like he wants to prove himself at Barca so I'm guessing they'll have a tough time offloading him this window. Unbelievable that they spent 140m on him and are so quick to axe him.

It's probably because they've spent nowhere near €140m on him yet, but if he's around for another season various clauses will be triggered and they want to cut their losses before then. I'd guess.

I actually really like Maguire and thought at the time Hull went down we should have got him in... I thought the way he gets the ball out of defence is something that would have complimented our back line along with Toby and Verts

80m is no chump change ofcourse but thats what he was worth to Leicester and thats what he is worth to Manure...

Apparently he's on 500k as well which is way beyond us. Ether way there are a few reports linking him to a move to arsenal. At 27 with that wage and the overall value of the transfer, which will probably be astronomical, I have no interest. Would much rather Dybala.

He’s not going to go to arsenal at that price and wages for one season. They’re trying to cut back on transfer costs not increase them.

The Sun saying Arsenal are signing Coutinho on a £27m loan deal?! Genuinely can't work that one out, as I'm already confused by how they're going to play with Pepe and keep everyone happy. Confused.com...

And isn’t Ceballos 17M? Lot of money to pay guys who won’t be there next year!

If there's a hidden yid in Kroenke to run the club into demise it will be so funny. All very poor management IMO.

Great signing for Everton, if he can fire them the goals he is expected to, then i can see them being serious challengers for the top 6

Fucking hell Juve, what is going on? Ramsey and De Ligt were sensible purchases, a good start to the window. Then all of a sudden one of the most promising young strikers I've seen at Juve is off. I get he wants first team football for a spot in the Euro 20 team, and that's admirable and I hope he succeeds, but Juve need a good front man to partner Ronaldo and I can't see why we shouldn't keep developing him. He'll get game time. I can only imagine Sarri doesn't rate him.

Mandzukic could be off too. He's getting on but he's been one of the most consistent forwards I've ever seen at Juve, a real workhorse and a very capable player too. Top that with Dybala off and I'm getting bloody worried about Juve's front line.

They seem to be putting all their eggs in the "Get the best out of Ronaldo so we win the CL" basket.

Would you say that's what's happening?

I'd be worried about that too as he's probably entering the last 2 years of peak Ronaldo and the fallout could be as horrendous as Madrid's

I’m assuming he wanted to leave because of the racist incident last season and juventus not really backing him.

Did I read that there will be an option to buy? Yes, 27 million for a loan is mad but if that 27 million was then deducted from a transfer fee then that would not be so crazy.

It seems that way. Ronaldo has been the focal point, and he clearly is top dog. But he needs players to work around and that's what Juve struggled with last year. Dybala can't quite work with him so they're trying to find someone who can. I'm guessing that is why Higuain is featuring again. It's a shame, because Kean would be a great foil for him, but I don't think they have the patience for a developing player. It's quite a common problem Juve have.

I’m assuming he wanted to leave because of the racist incident last season and juventus not really backing him.

This could be a contributor. I was really upset when Allegro and the club didn't back him fully. Perhaps that has been in his mind as well.

Malcolm racially abused on his debut for Zenit. Disgusting.

His career really has gone down the shitter
