Jesus wept ... Dier/Mason as a CM midfield pair at home to Stoke, we really are trying to be the dullest team in the PL, Hoddle, Ardiles, Gazza etc I weep with you!

It is a very negative team selection especially for a home match. As I said, where is the pace and creativity ???

In fact, it may even be the worst in the league..... possible except for Bournemouth.

I can understand the thinking behind it, we clearly lacked protection for the defence last season wether dier is the long term solution to this is another question but with the squad of midfielders we have I don't think we have a lot of options

The lad has played 45 min since his injury. Giving him time to recover is much more valuable than throwing him in too early.

We don't have much choice regarding pace maybe rose could have been a better choice at left back but other than that I'm not sure what other options we have in the squad?

Dembele is just Soooo Slow, I think I would prefer Ali/Pritchard( perhaps as later sub)
