You said Rhodes is not top4 calibre yet you say he wont be cheap ?
To the larger point, yes, he will be around 10m (BRFC bought him for 8m). Throw in Bentley & a couple of loans the deal is doable.

Am not suggesting any one who is scoring 20 gaols a season in lower division. This is a top player, who has even started scoring against International sides. 3 in 2 games. (also one against Dutch in U21).

When has there ever been a definitive correlation between quality and how much someone costs? I could name you countless players who have cost over £10 million but aren't top 4 calibre.

Furthermore, how can you just say 'throw in player X and player Y'. How do you know Blackburn would want any of our deadwood or the players would want the move.

Agree, but we have 1 striker who is doing anything, and Lennon doesn't score enough to play a high wing. If we buy Willian, I think we are going for a 4-3-3.

Can say that about countless transfers, and I'm sure countless fans have said it about our players.

Truth of the matter is you can't buy everyone and we're pretty much stocked up on midfielders so.

Maybe he will become amazing maybe he won''t adapt to EPL; who knows.

Agreed to an extent.

But let me clarify my view on your Rhodes valuation. Even in these inflated buying days, it is very hard to see a Championship player valued at 15million (like you do) and yet say wont be in top4. Now which player in Championship to thisday was bought at 10-15million by a PL side which was not competing for top4 ? Any one ?

Dont see any point in discussing this anymore - as both of us talking about something or some one that may not happen.
90% of the talks here are opinions added with a bit of fantasy and fact.

He's been good, by his standards, in a handful of games this season and AVB has him working harder, this is good, but he's gone whole seasons of being underwhelming.

I have no problem keeping Lennon and when Bale nobs off, Willian would more likely play ALM (where he plays now) anyway, but I certainly wouldn't hold up the purchase of someone like Willian on the promise that Lennon is suddenly going to become consistent or intelligent and that is what we need.
