In all seriousness though, if Villa win this place will explode lol.

Must admit it would be unbelievable to see the fighting on here..season might not be over just yet.

I'm actually more interested in what our subs bench will be than starting line-up, as this gives strong indications of who is or isn't in Poch's long-term plans.

I don't expect Kaboul to ever feature again, but it's hard to comprehend why neither Fazio nor Yedlin was on the bench today (neither have been reported as injured). I know Yedlin is young and will need time to adjust, but we didn't have a CB or RB on the bench. Possibly doesn't bode well for them playing regularly next season.

I'd really like to see Townsend on the left rather than continually playing him on right side.

Lloris

Walker Dier Vertonghen Rose

Mason Bentaleb

Lamela Eriksen Townsend

Kane

Assuming Walker is out, but Lloris and Vertonghen have recovered:

.....................................Lloris....................................

Chiriches............Dier...............Vertonghen.........Rose

........................Mason......Bentaleb............................

........Townsend.........Eriksen........Chadli.................

....................................Kane.......................................

Bench:
Vorm
Davies
Yedlin / Fazio / academy defender
Paulinho
Dembele
Lamela
Soldado

The dynamic of our three attacking midfielders didn't work today, so I would change that up. I'd like to see if Eriksen can create more from the centre and Townsend is our only option with real pace.
I'd keep Paulinho in the squad, despite another disappointing performance, purely because he added energy to the midfield when he came on against Leicester and no one else seems capable of this.
I can't recall the last time Lamela made a significant impact from the bench, but I can't think of any other options.
Stambouli would be redundant, considering there are already two other CMs on the bench and he isn't exactly an impact sub.
After today, I would like to see a second defender on the bench...anyone other than Kaboul would do.

Walker mason and chadli all need a break. Paulino needs a permanent one.

Crazy if so about Fazio surely that was a Potchittino signing and if so he doesn't rate him already after half a season.
How do we do this to players? He was captain of Sevilla for goodness sake!
