It is going to be difficult, but I would take a draw at this point. A loss would see Villa overtake us in the table

With one of or both City and Liverpool dropping points on the Saturday, a win here would be huge.

First match at the stadium since last September so really looking forward to it. Villa in superb form and obviously our form has taken a nosedive for obvious reasons. That being said, with Udogie back and hopefully Bentancur fit enough to play a significant part of the match I'd be disappointed if we didn't at least get a draw.

Unforgivable to even draw, sorry but Forest did them 2-0 at City Ground. We need to be aiming for similar

Oh I agree we should be winning this even with a make shift defense however if we did end up drawing I'd be disappointed but could live with it all things considered.

If you look at the team we"ll most likley field, CB is the area of concern with Dier in particular.

Midfield, attack and full backs we're still pretty strong.

No way id take a point.

Dier and Davies do quite well and we can abeolutely win this.

Yes I know high line and all that but the negativity is a bit OTT.

Not saying that we cannot win, but a point would be better than losing, which reasonably could happen. Any other result other than a loss, we stay ahead of Villa in table, therefore I would not be too disappointed with a draw

Traveling over from Ireland for my first ever game.

Been supporting since 2009-10 under Redknapp when Bale broke through.

Got the tickets the week of the Chelsea game before it all went Pete Tong! Still looking forward to it, hopefully get a W

Initially i was convinced it would be Bentancur, Sarr and PEH.

Actually think it will be Lo Celso instead of PEH.

We need his creativty with Maddison out, and Ange will have learnt against Wolves.

Think he went against his better judgement for that one because of the power of Wolves and what happened against Chelsea.

He'll be back on the front foot with his sections for this one.

Diaby vs our backline is worrying, VDV would have made me confident of all 3 points but yeah....not so sure we will be able to play such a high line with him. They also have Bailey who seems to come off the bench and chip in as well. This is a game where our attackers need to be on form, can't afford to miss any chances if we get them. Can see it be a high scoring game with both teams looking to attack rather than defend.

I’d start the midfield
Bents 6
Sarr 8
Kulu 10

johnson
Son
Gill
Personally I’d still start Gio but this would 100% be my second choice. PEH is a solid player to bring on as a sub in the second half but really don’t want him starting if we can help it.

The thought of the technically limited trio of Dier, Davies and PEH starting again gives me shivers and is a recipe for disaster.

Or even Emerson at rb
Then

bents
SAR
Kul

Porro
Son
Johnson
I think a lot of us think that Kulusevski could do a good job at no 8 and of course Porro's delivery and general ability on the ball are excellent.

However, Porro does have the benefit of being on the overlap, underlap or an overloading triangle and running into space. If he was up 1v1 against a good, fast LB all game we might just see him huff and puff a lot and end up turning back and passing sideways

Not saying definitely but possibly and perhaps Ange knows that and prefers him coming from the fullback position

Sarr has to be back in the 8 position. We really missed his energy and work in there at Wolves. He does things that can go unnoticed in terms of the significance. He's the one that often puts out fires and stops an attack building. I would keep the front 3 as it is and get Sarr back as an 8. We can't shift players out of their best positions unless forced too. We already have a make shift central defence. Every other position we need to be strong.

This is all about being aggressive and on the front foot as much as possible. We need max energy for this one and to be clinical because I think we concede a couple too. Hoping for something like a 4-2 win.
