I trust Ange more than any other manager (even Poch who I thought was the best manager in my time as a supporter) but with our injuries, I can’t see getting anything in the next 3 games.
I really hope that I’m wrong but I need to be realistic

Dier and Davies is just a worrying combination. We are slow at the back and with what our midfield could be (Hojberg, Skipp) along with Bentancur who needs to play further forward through the middle we have naff all we need Kulu and Johnson to track back and Porro and Udogie to be more defensive imo.

We are up against it tomorrow no doubt with the absentees, it’s going to be a slog, the crowd need to stick by the team and keep the positive atmosphere we’ve had down the Lane all season.

Dier and Davies is a concern, and it would be good for Ange to find a solution there rather than rabbiting on about the 'opportunity' to evaluate the squad. But Ange's choices in midfield vs Wolves is a bigger concern. Really dropped the ball there. For someone so focused on us playing our way, he's got to pick a coherent 6, 8, 10 and he has options.

For this one, bissouma is out so it has to be Skipp or hojbjerg at 6. Sarr is a doubt but it should be him or Bentancur at 8. And Lo Celso should get a chance at 10 unless he wants to bring Kulusevski inside.

Bentacur can play at 6 as well.

If Sarr is fit, i hope thats the case...with Lo Celso making up the three.

Best chance to get some points over the coming weeks.

Villa dont travel well.

Lose to these and I can definitely see us losing to city and Newcastle as well.

Need something here because 5 losses on the bounce doesn't look good whichever way you spin it.

Edit: forgot we have West Ham at home before we play city. We really should win that game.

Not sure Id want Hojbjerg at 6, the 6 needs to be your best player under pressure on the ball as they dictate from deep like Bissouma. Rather Bentancur in that role and let Hojbjerg play the 8 where he can break up play around the middle.

I wanted to say we don't instantly become shit because a win will still keep us within one point of the top. But thinking Dier playing can really make us shit...

So what do we think the team will be then?

Vicario
Udogie
Davies
Dier
Porro
Hojbjerg
Bentancur
Lo Celso
Kulu
Johnson
Son

VDV, Maddison, Richy, Solomon and Perisic injured. Sarr probably too.

Romero and Bissouma suspended.

This would be a hard game with a full strength team. Think we'd need a blinding performance from the CB's to have any chance, but sadly can't see it.

If its Skipp and PEH id be very disappointed with Ange's selections.

Fortunately I dont think it will be.

If Lo Celso and Bentamcue start I think we'll win.

Just a feeling Gio is going to finally show us what he's got.

Lot of justifiable fear going round here. Some learned from the Fulham cup defeat, but now most have got it......Ange's style of football only works in the Prem with great players.

While everyone and his dog were applauding AP to the skies, the perceptive were equally praising Paratici and the recruitment staff.

We’re at home, even with injuries and suspensions if he doesn’t go back to the tried and tested system with Gio playing Madders role I’ll be really disappointed.

Not interested in a midfield three whatsoever.

Vic
Porro Dier Davies Udogie
Hojbjerg Bentancur
Kulu Gio Johnson
Son
