Just a quick one...where did we expect to be after 13 games under Ange? If the 3 losses were spread more evenly would we be more satisfied? I'm reading a lot about people "appreciating" that we've got players out but I'm not sure it's truly "appreciated". My own view and I'm happy to be shot down, is that, yes, we could be less gung ho given the players out but is it also not an opportunity to see what these players can do in the system Ange wants to play? Maybe due to the start our expectations are higher than the club's? Personally I'm pretty much all in right now and don't agree with the Ardiles era comparisons which I fully remember being an old f*cker!

Finding it very frustrating today reading journalists wax lyrical over Villa and how they’re the team on the up vs spurs (this just from SSN). Anyone who actually watched the game would realise they didn’t exactly play our B team off the park. Who writes these articles!
I think you have to understand that sports journalists write articles based on the result not on what actually happened during the whole game. It’s the same reason the winning goal scorer often his given MOM. It’s the click bait syndrome. They play on the fact that most people don’t want detailed analysis just the highlights.

I’ve seen the game but apparently Gil was elbowed in the box but var was down
Var wasn’t down. It was only that the referee couldn’t review things at the match side monitor. Var could have told the referee it was a penalty offense because the referee didn’t see the incident.

The football is so good to watch it won’t long before teams are getting a thrashing

It's not nessassarley the league position for me. It was all about the progress and change of mentality (attacking). The performances I think all would agree have been sensational at times during games this season. Me personally wanted to see more emphasis on using academy players, but if Gil/Le Celso are given a chance along with Sarr on a regular basis that works too.

I just wat to see if Ange can produce 3 or 4 players from the academy or youthful buys and get them to 70% of the player that Kane turned out to be.... add that to the buys that seem to be more hit than miss recently and were in for another great period as fans..... well the dreamer in me hope so

Just watching the game back and on top of what should have been a straight red for Cash anyway, he then fouls Udogie from behind too and doesn't receive a second yellow.

Added to this Kamara then follows through on Porro and catches his ankle but doesn't receive a second yellow either (Romero got a straight red for a follow through!).

Unbelievable. Ever since the Pool game we are getting absolutely nothing.
The difference between Romero's fouls and Cash fouls is that imo Cash sought out our best player as Villa reeled and intentionally put Bents out of the game. Very successful too, as was his season ending assault on Doherty before. These are actions designed to win matches not impulsive moves...

...Which makes them all the more disgusting.

Yet Cash is treated kindly by the media (he was being interviewed prior to our match) & Romero is vilified as some sort of thug. Just seems that some players can do whatever they like with no detriment to their reputation but others are treated as criminals.

If it’s not working 100% the kick off should be delayed - if it’s likely to be a 10 minute wait. If they want to bring these things in then they have to be 100% at all times.
I'm confused by this. We've had games delayed because the ref can't get his comms working. I'm not sure how this is any different.
