This player is super technical and has been on an excellent team. He is a workhorse and can play a multitude of positions, and is clearly a leader for his side. My fear is that he is part of a team who’s whole is greater than the sum of its parts. They clearly have talent and he is a good player, I just worry about signing a 26 year old.

Signing a player like him would be more of a statement on Mourinhos thoughts on that position than anything else, meaning really no confidence in TN or Dele.

Is he good or is he good in that the Leipzig team is set up to his strengths?

He’s getting no ball tonight so far.

edit: I see @Young Nasty Man has suggested the same. I think a lot of the Leipzig players might be like this and why Chelsea won’t get Werner performing like nagelsmann did there.

I think Werner may be the only exception to this rule, and maybe Upamecano. Both seem to have the parts for the Prem. If Werner wound up on Liverpool, I don’t know if anyone could compete with an attack of Mane, Werner and Salah. That is speed unlike. The issue is Werner in Chelsea is just further loading the same positions they have depth at.

I was going to say I think Upamecano would be the exception. Hate to say it but he reminds me of peak Judas.

Upamecano is fantastic, definitely going to the very top. So glad he didn't go to Arsenal last year. He's not one that is being lifted my Nagelsmann for sure.

Werner is a fantastic striker but has been full of confidence under Nagelsmann. Will need to hit the ground running in the PL I feel. Teams will try to keep him quiet here. I felt we did and we were a shambles back then.

As for Sabitzer I think he's got enough about him to be a good addition, seems very much a Mourinho player. Certainly has the stamina and mentality for PL football and he does have technique. He's not going to come in and be our best player, hence why the price is being mooted at around £30-40m. He's the kind of player good teams need though.

Wasn’t it Sabitzer who was excellent against us in both games, scoring a couple of goals in the second leg?

What's this talk about Nagelsmann not winning anything? 5 min ago he was passing notes to his crush in science class.

How about asking how many managers have achieved more at the age of 33.

Looks like a box to box player. Loads of stamina energy skill and can shoot. What’s not to like and we have nobody like him in our squad.

We’d have to sell Lamela or sissoko I’d imagine
