So did he sign a new contract or not? ??‍♂️ as u lot are still going on about him.
No? Why do ask?

Somebody posted a tweet of him signing a new contract but that tweet is from 2018 and only used to establish the fact that his current one is up in 2022.

Ah thanks, I was confused as fuck. Pity the link to him is tenuous at best.

This seems to be the more “marquee” link that won’t happen. As we know every year we get one. Ok so this isn’t quite as ambitious as your Dybala or Bale but probably too far fetched to happen

Doesn't he primarily play on the RW? I don't imagine he would come in unless he is a guaranteed starter.

But we’re hardly flush with that? Hope to be proven wrong of course
Even if Spurs doesn´t pay the highest wages in the PL, it would still be a helluva lot more than the Bundesliga clubs (except for Bayern for their very top players).

More a right sided central attacking midfielder. Leipzig play 4222. He’s tucked in behind the forwards.

eg

............................... GK ............................
RB......... CB ....................... CB .......... LB
................ Laimer......... Kampl .................
............. Sabitzer............. Olmo................
............... Werner ......... Schick ...............

I know Werner has left. It’s just an example of where Sabitzer plays. Their whole midfield is interchangeable.

First of all, PSG would have to beat them tomorrow for this to have real legs I feel. Even with the upgrade in wages you’ve got to think reaching a CL final or perhaps even a win would make Sabitzer un-gettable.

I have a feeling the fate of this transfer is closely linked to N’Dombele, which is essentially waiting on Inter Milan. If we really did sell TN I think splashing the cash at Sabitzer becomes much more realistic financially. Maybe if we got a cumulative £30-35m for Sissoko and Lamela we could try to do the deal. Let’s hope there is something real in this link though as he would be our best CM instantly I think.
What happened to Monaco a few years back?

I think he would play on the right side of a 433, either in midfield or in attack.

Imagine if Sissoko had footballing ability and a pony tail and you pretty much have Sabitzer.

Probably the player of the highest quality and calibre that we’ve been linked to....... which means we won’t sign him.

He's like a midfield version of Cavani, incredible stamina, work rate and he brings plenty of goals and assists too. We lack creativity and consitency in midfield, he would be perfect.

I personally feel like this signing would go against what Trix said. Maybe I overvalue Sabitzer, but he’d fall into “huge money signing” for me. Then again, maybe it’s more of the Bale/Dybala realm he’s alluding to.

I suppose it's vaguely feasible if Ndombele gets sold. Having said that, I don't know why Sabitzer would want to join us and I'm sure other clubs would throw their hats in the ring if he was the least bit available.

He’s he’s primarily a RW but is a versatile player who can play CM as well. I think he would break into the team over Lucas.

We should try to offload Sissoko and Lamela to raise funds for Sabitzer [who is a better player in both their positions].

It may help that Sabitzer came and played at new WHL and saw the fantastic stadium and facilities that will seem a million miles better that anything he has experienced in his career. Coupled with us being in London, and the draw to play under Mourinho, and I think he is gettable (as long as Levy can afford the fee).

Re: Positioning in the team, he could play slightly more advanced on the right of Højbjerg, with Lo Celso symmetrical on the other side.
