Can’t see it. He was so impressive when we played them this season, but even if RB are a bit tinpot he’s their skipper and they are a club on the up.

We already know we’re probably gonna be relying on sales this season, and I imagine Sabitzer will cost something not far off what Ndombele cost. Also there are other clubs that could offer a better wage than us, and we don’t even have champions league to offer
I think people seriously underestimate the Mourinho effect. Guy is a serial winner and has a serious reputation so I'm sure plenty would be extremely attracted to join us. The stadium and training ground are also incredible so we are an attractive proposition to players. Yes we have no CL which isn't ideal but he refused to reject the notion that he had spoken to Jose this season when asked a few months back.

Bild are highly credible, as far as I know
Bild is no different to any of British tabloids. Some bits on the mark, most of it thrown in to get view counts up and make money. It's the norm the world over. You'll be searching a long long time to find a tabloids that's more hit than miss anywhere.

First of all, PSG would have to beat them tomorrow for this to have real legs I feel. Even with the upgrade in wages you’ve got to think reaching a CL final or perhaps even a win would make Sabitzer un-gettable.

I have a feeling the fate of this transfer is closely linked to N’Dombele, which is essentially waiting on Inter Milan. If we really did sell TN I think splashing the cash at Sabitzer becomes much more realistic financially. Maybe if we got a cumulative £30-35m for Sissoko and Lamela we could try to do the deal. Let’s hope there is something real in this link though as he would be our best CM instantly I think.

Because we’re not an energy drink football club that started 10 years ago? Congrats to Leipzig on a wonderful UCL run to the semis, for those with short memories we made the final of that competition last year.
At the time of writing, they can still win the damn thing this year...

I imagine that Sabitzer was high on our list pre-COVID. Since then we had names like Cantwell and Brooks banded about due to the relegation of those clubs and the likelihood the fee should be lower.

However, with Ndombele being wanted by Inter, it may be Jose's wish to get that money in and replace with Sabitzer.

Sabitzer actually reminds me of Cantwell but with much better end product.

We so seriously need more goals from midfield and he'd offer us that.

Surely 0 chance this is happening, he's an absolutely incredible player and would cost way too much.

If we could sell Ndombele and bring him in that would be one hell of a move, he's a proper leader and all-round midfielder, he'd take our game to another level.

Can't see it happening but if we signed him and a RB and ST and AM to upgrade Lamela our squad would be up there with any bar Man.City in the PL.

CL Final didn’t do much for our lot ?

Would be a fantastic signing but I can’t see how it makes any sense. The fact Rob made the thread off of what I assume must be ITK suggests it must have more legs than I imagine but still I just don’t understand it.

Why would RB sell him (their captain) for anything less than a big transfer fee? How would we even afford that? Also why would he want to leave RB for us at the moment?

Anything other than finding a buyer who will refund the NDombele fee to us doesn’t make any sense at all.

I would knock one out of we got him in, he would be an extremely astute buy.... he is powerful, stamina/engine, talented, skillful, leads by example type, gets stuck in , work horse, great alround game attacking / defending / off the ball work and a proper team player.

Yeah don’t get me wrong, I don’t think we’re an unattractive proposition. And I do agree that working with such an idol in the game like Jose, the chance of playing in our incredible ground on European nights etc must be appealing, but we’re not the only club that could offer those sorts of things.

For example I don’t see why Liverpool wouldn’t want him. They also have Klopp who’s highly popular, they can offer the incredible anfield atmosphere myth, and would smash us out the park financially for both a fee and wages.

I’m not saying players won’t want to join us just that I think there’s other clubs that would be more tempting and in a much better position to compete financially. I do agree with what others have said though that any chance we have does probably hinge on Tanguy. If we could get some deal done with Inter, then there’s more of a chance

Liverpool are still bedding in Keita and are closing in on Thiago for a ridiculous £22-25m.

Yeah I suppose. It was just an example though. I think there’s probably a few better suitors than us. Again though, say Sabitzer does really want us, I think we’ll struggle with the fee for a start

The only way we'd get him is if Jose has tapped him up big time since the CL game. Even so that was before covid messed things up.

You are probably right about him but it doesn't seem like loads of the elite are in a rush to spend on box to box cms currently.

In Germany Dortmund are well stocked and Bayern probably blew most of their summer budget on Sane. Juve and Barca seem to be cost cutting, Utd and City stocked in CM. Might not be the busiest market for big signings. Similar could be said for Arsenal and Partey.

What a player this guy is. Absolutely love Sabitzer! Really hope we get stronger links to him, would be an unbelievable addition to the squad. My hopes are already pinned and I'm ready for the disappointment ?
