He is ridiculously talented, it would be a massive shame to let go of him this summer. If his attitude is genuinely terrible then fine but I don't think it is or else he'd be nowhere near the match day squads imo. Even if he has another poor season there will easily be clubs looking to take a chance on him next summer for £30-35m because of his age and outrageous talent, and if he does end up playing half as well as he can do for us then his value will shoot up to over £100m very quickly.

He's under a 5 year contract, he'll have 3 years left next summer so if the situation doesn't change by that point then we should look to offload him. I still think at this stage, the potential uptick is a lot higher than the financial risk so I say keep him and hope we can get him onto the field with somebody doing the dirty work behind him.

If we were a club that was intent on achieving on-field success then, despite his obvious talent, I would back getting rid in the knowledge that we would be investing in other players with bags of quality. As it is, having been starved of ambitious recruitment, we were so taken with last summer’s splurge that I, and many others, feel a real attachment to the players we brought in and an arguably irrational fear that it’s us messing it up and not the player in question; like it’s down to the club making another mistake and not just a player that isn’t right for us. In short, if I trusted the club to keep investing in top talent, willingly replacing underperforming players in a relentless pursuit of trophies, then I wouldn’t mind if he left. However, I don’t trust the club’s recruitment at all and therefore I am desperate for him to stay and succeed.

Why is it that some players are described as having an "entourage". The term is very pejorative and is often applied only to "certain types" of player.

On Ndombele, I don't think he's played enough to objectively comment with any great confidence. He's shown at Lyon that he is talented but his first season with us has been tough in many respects. With a pre-season and a better understating of Jose's expectations for him, then we will have a much better idea this time next season (assuming he isn't injured).

Having said all of the above, Jose has earned the right to get the players he believes that will improve us, so if he wants to sell then we have to trust him.

Klopp:

“One of the big questions in football is what makes a proper player? What is more important, is it talent? Or is it attitude?
“Without talent you are nothing. Without attitude, you will stay a talent forever.

If José wants him out then "FFS Levy, back the manager".

If José wants him to stay then we should keep him.

Have to say him joining Inter makes no sense to me, Conte is ruthless on the training ground; his fitness levels are way beyond what are expected here at Spurs.

Still think we're being used so they can buy that other central mid they are linked with.

Our two main signings were Ndombele and Lo Celso.

Jose arrived and he wasn’t impressed with Lo Celso whereas he probably had the same impression of the grossly unfit Ndombele.

Fast forward 2-3 months, Lo Celso is working his arse off and improved so much that he goes from having Jose unconvinced to earning himself a permanent move. He then continues to be one our best players for the remainder of the campaign. Whereas Ndombele is still feeling the managers wrath for being unfit and putting in 10 mins of effort and spending the rest looking like an overweight chain smoker with Emphysema.

it’s perfectly understandable that players from abroad take time to settle with the game, language, lifestyle etc but not putting in 100% effort is simply unacceptable.

If Ndombele keeps this up he’ll turn into Taarabt MK2, all the talent in the world but a massive lazy bastard who will waste his prime playing years.

He is an absolutely brilliant manager. I think he's vastly underrated but fuck me if he doesn't demand too much from his boards.
He's shown he can work miracles with that aging and vastly unbalanced Chelsea title win, but he's so volatile it's almost not worth the risk. Once you sign him your club is put into an immediate state of uncertainty.
