With the bad press he has got over in Turkey I can’t see anyone even willing to take him on loan next season. Ange is clearly not going to want him hanging around either with his shit attitude so I imagine his contract will be cancelled in the summer and his last season paid up. Hands down with his transfer fee and wages has to be the worst signing in our history.

Time to pay up most part of whatever is left of his contract. If it is 95 percent once he is back so be it. He isn't worth anything to any decent club and once we get to his level, well they can pay the 5 percent at best

I am sure there are worse signings in the football world but I cant think of any.

It’s a good job they don’t play in hoops. Stripes are supposed to make you look taller and thinner 😬
Can we stop the fat jokes please? I’m not getting sensitive about it, and I’m not saying we need to get all soft, supportive and sensitive with the guy, but they’ve just been going on for so long and he’s obviously not a happy person.

Aa for the situation - it’s a disaster and a shocking indictment of the lack of DD we must have done at the time.

It’s 100m down the pisser basically. Just think what we could have done with that money? What a shame. Absolute disaster

Agreed, disastrous transfer but the fat jokes are really boring now, there's clearly a deeper issue with him, which I hope aren't too serious, but time to leave it be and move on.

Didn’t make the last Gala squad. Got a total of 5 mins in the 7 games before that.
We’re going to have to pay off his contract, aren’t we? 😭😭

Probably. Just going to have to bite the bullet with this one; I find it so unlikely there is going to be another suitor for the guy, let alone someone willing to pay a fee or wages.

I imagine even those in positions of power at the Saudi pro league would wait until his contract is terminated before signing him ..

How many more years have we got Tanguy Nobody for?
Last year coming up. About £10m to pay him off for the final season if we can't get rid. Not sure where's left for him to go on loan again to at least get some of his wages off the books.

If we somehow manage to find another club in summer to take him on loan so that they partially cover his wages then it wouldn't surprise me if he had a great season. His security blanket of his contract with us only has 12 months left so he needs to do enough for someone to give him a permanent deal.
Wouldn't be the first player to have a Stormer of a season just before their contracts expire.

The contract ends after the period ending 21 years after the death of the last survivor of all the lineal descendants of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II who have been born before the date of this agreement.

At least that’s how I feel.

Probably made enough to just trot off into life without much thought to be honest but anyway hopefully we can sell or at least cover some of wages. What a calamity. When you look back on thread can see how excited everyone was , felt like a watershed big money spent and what seemed like a coup. GLC was not like that too.

He's definitely in the same boat as Lukaku, Andy Carroll, Pepe, Rodwell, etc.

Personally feel the worst signing in recent memory is/was Danny Drinkwater. Sounds like a s*it man too!

Hi signed for us in June 2019 and his contract expires on 30 June 2024 ie in a few weeks time, upon which he will become a free agent. Be interesting to see if he gets another club, but I doubt it, and he will more than enough cash to retire now.
Great talent, but a crappy attitude, but it’s all been said before.
