All the ITK have been mentioning that we’re in with a shout, but I keep not wanting to get my hopes up.

What a coup it would be!

This and Ziyech would be fabulous business and immediately make us better equipped for the long season of the EPL

would make a big statement

Would be great to get a 'big statement' done early in the window, because you'd have to imagine it would help us secure our other signings; would show that we're 'serious' for the upcoming season!!

He’s what we need.

Biggest gap in squad in our midfield engine room at present with only Winks and Sissoko putting in good performances last season (sorry Dier but you’ve regressed badly and Wanyama very very sadly looks shot).

Lyon are pretty much now certain to qualify so odds are that that player will be Fekir so by that i'd say Ndombele leaving is unlikely.

Then again, he might just be trying to crank the price up

Yeah I wouldn't read too much into what people say in the press regarding these matters. As you say, could be bollocks to drive the price up.

Ndombele was my dream signing last summer. He's still my dream signing this summer but I do think there is some better depth in the CM market this year. Lyon are all but guaranteed a CL spot unless they seriously tank their last two games and qualifiers. On top of that half of Europe is after him, even if we offer the sweetest financial package it's not a guarantee we could get him.

Ndombele would be a dream for sure. Has that power Poch loves but can play too. Seems likely that the price may have dropped a little from January where we were told it was too high.

We are more attractive than ever before and have the added bonus of offering an almost guaranteed starting slot in our midfield ahead of the 2020 Euros. Should get plenty of visibility playing in the PL and CL alongside the French captain.

Will be hard to compete with the likes of Juve but I could see us having a good go at convincing him.
