He might actually have hypothyroidism or similar condition that makes it difficult to keep his weight down.

I struggle to believe it's all down to bad attitude.

Unfortunately you only need to see him warm up before a game or before coming on as sub to know that he is giving the least possible effort.

He doesn't seem to be motivated to play football at all. I'm not sure he gets another contract after his one with us ends.

Can we move this to Loan watch?
You were extremely quick moving Royal to transfer talk, but still haven't managed to move Werner and Dragusin to this forum..

Yes I'm bitter after being banned for 8 years from Transfer talks.

No one knows for sure though do they. You are just too nice to consider he might be a lazy fuck!

The frustrating thing is that there were questions over his attitude/commitment when we signed him...and yet we went ahead with it anyway.

I think it's more than fair enough for people to consider whether there are health issues, mental or otherwise, rather than him just being lazy. That's just being a decent human.

But it's clear we didn't do our research when signing him and wasted a huge amount of money in the process.

Whether he's lazy or ill, the team that signed him back then needs to take a big portion of the blame.

I have no idea why I was banned. It happened between transfer windows, so god knows how it was even possible. But the rules are the rules and no one forces us to participate on the forum and donations are voluntary so we can't really complain. But at times it does seem a bit unreasonable when we can't even post in threads of players we actually own. Emerson or Dragusin could play at the weekend and we can't talk about them outside of match day threads.

I don't discount a mental issue - but a more traditional medical issue should have been sussed out by anyone of the medical staff at the teams he has played for since signing, including Spurs.

I’ve been in here for a while and didn’t really feel this place was policed like COYS. I’ve seen so many off topic posts after the mods had given many warnings and still see the same members posting. I got banned for a couple of days because I was quoting a post where there was an unacceptable word. A&C was very gracious to reply to my message explaining what I had done.
I still think you guys stole A&C’s dildo or called his missus a midget or something like that to get banned for 8 years!

I've been banned for 8 years for going off topic in the ITK thread a 2nd time.

Edit: Just like I now have in this thread lol.

I was banned for highlighting a contradictory post by Gards who was later confirmed to be a WUM 🤣

The highlight of this forum is often the Transfer threads but without access to these = no donations and spending more time on alternative forums to this one.

Feel like it's almost taboo to talk about in the football world, but I wonder if he's ever been evaluated for long covid.

There was a glaring issue when we signed that the club seemed to ignore. Tanguy had a relatively short career pre coming to Spurs. Barring one season? at Lyon he predominantly played lower league football.

As per the English game - the difference in fitness demands etc between the EPL and lower leagues is massive. Asking and/or expecting someone who’s not used to the demands of the EPL/regular top flight football to step up was wishful thinking when it came to Tanguy given his past.

Fair enough if you’re after a player who’s got a lot of top flight experience or a youngster who has been developed by a top flight/near top flight club… it’s expected that you’ll be able to maintain the required fitness levels.

Look at Janssen - pre his previous club he also had only played lower league football in Holland. He’s another example of a player failing to meet to required fitness standards. Pavlyuchenko was another.

I think Tanguy will go down as the benchmark on player profiles and what not to sign.

RSol was the benchmark for contract length remaining, Tanguy will be the same but for player profile.

One of the Italian rags saying we're considering recalling him so we can sell him to Saudi club. Hard to put much credence in it, can't see even the Saudis being that stupid.

Yep, he’s by far the most damaging signing the club has ever made.

Surely with some of the fees they’ve been paying out £5m would be a great buy for them at their standard.
If we could get £5m back but more importantly his wages off the books I’d be happy with that, actually I’d relinquish a transfer fee just to get him out.
