Please sell him. His heart isn’t in it at all. He just won’t ever fit in and is playing under the wrong manager to ever help him fit in. We’ll just have another Lamela on our books, always injured, but without the fight and good attitude Lamela shows.

Money back and invest in Coutinho loan, a DM, CB and RB.
How do you know for certain his heart isn’t in it? Because of some articles in foreign press?

All we’ve heard from our end is that Mourinho has been really pleased with his application since lockdown. He looked visibly trimmer as well. Son’s heart was certainly not in it when he asked to leave after one season but all he needed was time.

I have no idea if tanguy wants to be here. But certainly those around him don’t want him to stay, and we’ve denied any talks from our end. If he does leave, I’d look less for a like-for-like replacement and more for an attacking midfielder who will produce goal scoring numbers like coutinho or a slightly more attack minded box to box who can chip in with a decent amount of goals, like an Aaron Ramsey type. Gio has proven he can score and assist a bunch with Betis, and he could of course replicate that form with us, but so far his best work has been from deep picking up the ball and running with it.

No stress over this one. If Mourinho wants to keep him, like all sources say, then great. If it's just club's PR and he is lazy or wants to leave for whatever reason then great, use that money for someone else.

IF it's true (questionable) the options are that if we sold him we would get Skriniar/Brozovic in or we keep him, then I'm going to be happy with either outcome. Slightly sad he didn't work out if we go the selling route but happy we did smart business if he has no future here. I still think he'll stay though.

All of our record transfers in recent times are either meh or flops. Really hope we will buck the trend in the future.

I still think if we aren’t going to play at the top table with the big boys, we need to get back to what we used to do and hoover up young talent from the championship and other clever prospective buys.
It used to work well when we hoovered up Carrick, Defoe, Dawson, Reid, Lennon, Routledge and others.

Won’t always be guaranteed a star, but it’s a process and tactic we have used well in the past.

Who are these people around him who don't want him to stay? Have I missed some reports on statements made by his agent?

I think the reality is DL couldn't find anybody to pay his full wages when he can't even run for 45 minutes.

It's a real F up, and we've got one super-talented fat bastard on our hands.
He's not the first one we've had and the other one didn't turn out too bad.

Source? Or is just idle speculation? I have read or heard nothing to suggest this.
Ally gold has implied a couple times that when Ndombélé doesn’t play, there always tends to be a story of an unhappy player from French sources, which has been the case, and that tanguy’s family/entourage has been telling the papers this trying to get a move ASAP, but yeah I don’t know this for certain, it is just highly probable. I don’t know where else these stories could have originated, I doubt tanguy himself is calling l’equipe, telefoot, RMC, etc saying he wants out, so I just put two and two together.

It's no more probable than journos and the media making shit up to fill empty column inches.

He did fuck all this season, so if we sell AND replace, it's an improvement to the squad. We can talk about potential all day and night, but if he's throwing his toys out after half a season there's no point in holding on to him. I wish it would work out, but at this point, it's time to cut our losses, get a replacement in, and hope we don't fuck up like this again.

He had ONE really bad match, the rest was at least good.

“Heart isn’t in it”

“throwing his toys out of the pram”

“desperate to leave the club”

Please point me in the direction of one fucking instance that proves Ndombele feels this way or has acted in such a way?

I suppose you all feel the same about Sessegnon too? His heart must not be in it either? He can’t be pulling his weight in training either. I bet he’s a lazy bastard. Jose must hate him! He’s played less than Ndombele!

It’s terrifying how some of you believe everything you read in the media. It’s suspicious, though, when some of you ignore the positive stories, such as the coaching staff being impressed with Ndombele and Ndombele himself saying there’s “nothing to report” and pay total attention to the negative reports such as Ndombele having a falling out with Jose and refusing to ever play for the club again. (He did).

Yeah, it's wrong to assume anything, as we dont know shit. I only want us to move on from Ndombélé if Mourinho doesn't rate him. I will not pretend to know José or Tanguy's feelings. The only fact we can talk about is that Mourinho did not play Ndombélé that much, maybe or not because the lack of a DM.

I must admit when you said "those around him" I thought you meant our players, my bad. Still speculation though

Yeah of course. I find this situation a win win. Either he stays because he’s committed to fighting for his place, or he’s sold because he has made it clear he doesn’t want to be here and Jose gets more money to buy more of his players or players he wouldn’t have initially been able to attain because of the budget. I highly doubt tanguy will still be here next season if he’s truly unhappy at the club.

There’s clearly something going on behind the scenes. Whilst these kind of rumours can appear, they don’t usually gain this much traction without some support from an entourage. That worries me.
I’m torn on this.
Part of me wants us to keep him, and for him to be a huge success. His ability on the ball is something else.
But, after 6 months of media spin, I’m also tempted to just cut our losses. If we can break even, the no harm, no foul. Use the money elsewhere and let Inter deal with his attitude / entourage problems.
My only only nagging doubt here- is Jose taking out his Pogba frustrations on a similar player? Both talented, bit lazy, entourage/ agent a nightmare.
I don’t know
