Had flashbacks last night watching Leipzig beat Atletico Madrid with the winning goal coming from a player getting in behind Trippier as he half assed jogged back.

It wasn't even the jogging back, he got drawn into the centre of the pitch and the player stole in behind him. He got done like that so often last season for us. Messi must have put about 7 balls in just behind him to expose his lack of positional awareness.

Aarons is not and will likely never be a great defender. His attacking game is decent but not great and physically he’s got ways to go. He’ll be a mid table defender at best and I really hope we pass on him.
