Nothing in this world is certain except death, taxes and Tottenham's second string putting in a diabolical performance and bombing out of a cup

Being out the cup also means we can probably afford to shift another of these fringe players without too much hassle imo

Can't find a reason to be downbeat - reserve 11. I know people will go on about a chance of a trophy, but I'll be honest - I'm not arsed about the EFL at this stage. Get 3 points in the next prem game - that's the barometer.

Well that whole experience is Spurs in my lifetime. Every god damn fucking inch of it. Just when you feel good they do that shut and rip your guts out. Why, for the love of Satan, did we rest so many players?? The weekend is our last game for two fucking weeks! If it’s because we needed to give everyone some minutes , I’m sorry but fuck that too. You either earn minutes in a spurs shirt or you don’t.
Everyone can just fuck off again tonight, I hate this shit. Seriously, what on gods green earth was that shit?
And bh the way don’t blame Sanchez, he stood up when I can only imagine Viking was scared, Royal feared it would impact his comp vid if else missed, Sarr was doing fuck knows what, and we don’t have a fucking striker to replace our shit no 9 when he’s not on the pitch. None of that is Sanchez’s fault. But HOW Ange, Son etc let him near that kick when it was obvious to a fucking man how it would go is beyond belief.
Fuck them all tonight. And screw you and your neg ratings!!

We all knew Sanchez was missing that the moment he was given the ball.

Whoever decided to let him take a penalty is the same person who decided that Maguire would be a good acquisition.

Pretty shit from FOrster. The average speed for 4 of those pens was at best a trickle.
Yeah I don't usually ever feel you can blame keepers for not saving pens as the odds should be so heavily in favour of the taker, but he literally dived out of the way far too early and presented an empty net for four out of five

So it’s the FA Cup or bust in terms of trophies this season because once again we’ve inexplicably “rested” our best players only 3 games into the season. Pathetic. I’m so sick of it.

Maybe this had to happen.
Fate and all that.
Training will take on a new dimension off the back of this.
Ange will have a far more realistic view of what needs to be done.
He knows he’s got that wrong, but he’ll lift his own game off the back of it.

Is anyone actually angry at Sanchez there? Surely the only question is why the fuck is Sanchez taking a penalty.

Ange talked it big last week about only picking the best XI to win a game and then goes and puts out a clear B team. It's on him today.

Also the 3rd kit is utter dogshit, bad to play in, and the person who ok'd it needs shooting (preferably also not by Sanchez).

Think it just shows the drop off after our starting eleven. So many poor performances.
I think it shows that when you put out a team with very few minutes in their legs you get a tie tired looking performance with little confidence.

More worrying for me is that only Sanchez stood up to take the third penalty.
Would literally be my tenth choice.
