Doesn't matter who he picks. Just play like it's important to score goals and keep clean sheets. All the rest is noise. We need a more determined team - there isn't a formation or selection dilemma that can sort that. Whoever plays just has to up the effort dramatically compared to recent months.

As the season comes to a somewhat flaccid end. I can't see any harm, If Ange wants to push the development squad on, to Use the last few games to Bung in a couple of the hopefuls. might give a bit of energy to the squad which looks mentally fatigued whilst showing he's serious about pathways to the first team.

Not whole sale, just a few here and there. Otherwise I can't see how anything changes. It's just like flogging what seems a mentally dead horse.

But, I wouldn't be surprised to see the same old selections. It's not simply a case of 'give the kids a go' for the sake of it. It's about lifting energy levels.

I'd be happy only losing by 2. No doubt they are going to come at us from the off, we need to keep a clean sheet for as long as possible or it's going to be a landslide.

I like it but I would replace Maddo with PEH/Biss/Sarr and leave Gio as the major creative outlet for this match.

Maddo have been really bad as of late, and his cameo against Chelsea did nothing to convince me that he deserves to start this (to be fair everyone was meh, I was just hoping for a reaction from Maddo after the benching, but he came on and just fell down/gave the ball away).

I also like the idea of more "runners" in the midfield for a game at Anfield.

Love this team and yea I’d like him to change it up, VDV LB, give Dravidian a go, Bentancur as a 6, doubt he’d play GLC & Maddison but we’d certainly control the ball nicely with those 3 in there! I don’t really want to see Kulu start tbh he’s been pony lately so rather Richy, Son, Johnson again but as you say we’ll be more on the counter so son through the middle for this one would be ok, suppose we don’t have anyone else we could try wide right really unless he fancied throwing Gil in to really mix it up.

Yea pretty much agree with this but also I’d rather the same front 3 again and drop Kulu.

Ange certainly needs to try something a bit different. Really hope he does try VDV at LB as Emerson cannot play in this system and we have nothing to loose mixing it up a bit.

We currently remind me of that old Harry Enfield and chums skit of the modern day team playing the team from the 30s. Deki is the winger who just weaves left and right without doing anything, and we’re only Sonny and Madder applauding the opposition away from fully realising it.
