Sorry to a Debbie Downer but If Levy steps down I suspect we’ll just get another ENIC suit as a front man, while nothing changes behind the scenes. This is sadly our club now - entertainment events and formula one are evidently prioritised over football.
Or we get someone who is a good leader and recognises they know f all about football and appoints a football person to run the football things. Things like thinking they know better than scouts and deciding against signing Sadio Mane.

Might be a good start.

Its last chance for Levy and I know we have said that before but Id say Poch going to Chelsea adds a whole heap more pressure on Levy. Then again, it would have been easy for Levy to just appoint Poch to appease the fans.
I'm happy enough for Levy to be fucked by comparisons to Poch. Plenty on here think chelsea are an unresolvable mess and Poch wont change that. But I'd bet the opposite. They'll have a clear identity and direction soon enough, and itll be in a positive direction. Not guaranteed, but I'd bet on it.

Meanwhile, our clown will oversee our continued decline. And whether levy or anyone else likes it or not, every new spurs manager will be compared to Poch. Not just the 'Poch at Spurs', but that and whatever Poch is doing at the time. Itll have to be one hell of a coach and new joined-up strategy to overcome that.

Our season went down the pan when we decided to disrupt the successful lineup that had played so well in the games against WHU and Chelsea - Davies and Royal at WB with Kulusevski and Richarlison alongside Kane - for the FACup game against Sheffield Utd. Despite that competition being our best chance of winning a trophy we decided to change the team to prioritize the league game against Wolves and the CL game against Milan.
The result of that decision was that within the week we were out of both cup competitions and the momentum we had began build up in the league ground to a halt. Since the Chelsea game we have now failed to win away from home in, I believe, a record breaking 9 games in all competitions.
The idiotic decision not to prioritize the FA Cup game over other games that week came back to bite us in the butt and completely derailed our season.
It's not even about prioritising one competition over another. It's about building momentum after two impressive london derby wins. The stupid arrogance of Conte and the club not to realise this was our pivot point for the season. Loser, arrogant mentality kicked in and it all derailed from there

I am guessing this will be Levy's last year-at least as far as the footballing department is concerned.

Optimistic. He isn't going any where despite the optics. He's even hired someone that looks like him to be can wear a cap and pretend to be him in negotiations.

Well this season will obviously end with a whimper. But let's be optimistic.

Next season - irrespective of any business done in the interim - we'll hopefully have our best player this season (Bentancur) back to full fitness, a rejuvenated Bissouma bossing the midfield by his side and Udogie, who I sincerely believe, will hit the ground running. This guy is a star in the making and is surely an upgrade on what we currently have. Let's hope he lives up to my hype.
Bentancur unlikely to be available until October/ November

Probably Christmas before Bentancur is back to full fitness.

We don't really know that yet. Treatment for cruciate injuries has really advanced over the last 15- 20 years and its not inconceivable he could be fully fit by September
Our medical team are still at Anderton levels…

People will lay into Mason for this but they are being very unfair.

Emery is an experienced coach, he has his values and has walked into situations where his experience and values can be applied relatively seamless.

During a season.

Mason hasn't that experience to walk into a bad situation amd apply his ideas because he hasn't really developed them yet. He's still figuring stuff out. He's not even had a preseason to do that.

Until he has that and a full season to reflect on, he won't be able to have it figured out.

So people need to lay off hin

He shouldn’t be there is the broader point. Not really any point laying into him is there but equally it’s not worth discussing his merits as a manager because frankly, he isn’t one.
