Trouble is that this club always seems to be on a bloody journey or a re build or in midst of injury crisis or missing one or two key players or not invested in.

It’s always ifs and buts and maybes.

You can be happy with that if you like but it’s not a demand to win mentality.
Like Mourinho and Conte were supposed to bring??
We have the right guy in charge but he can’t clear up the mess of the past 4 years overnight. Especially missing 5 first choice players out of an already small squad.
Bigger picture looks good.

Blimey, some really don’t know what patience means. I’m seeing some of the best football I’ve seen for years with a team short of 8/9 first choice players. A team that was by most agreed short in numbers post deadline day (recruitment teams fault not the managers!) . Not really sure what more Ange needs to do to convince some he might just be into something. He has done a wonderful job in changing the mood ant the club and also started to establish an identity and philosophy. Nothing but praise from me

Our defence is just too inviting and a soft touch. You can see it time after time - Torres header that he should've scored from, Watkins disallowed goal just after we scored, Emery insisting the ball be swung right in for their equaliser. We're so flaky in those clutch moments of having that hunger to get your head or foot their first.

It's almost the same problem at the other end. Johnson especially is a good player, but doesn't yet have a killer instinct. Lots of head in hands stuff when really he should be striking the ball more decisively, or reading the game better so he's not a fraction late.

We're sliding back to the mean now. Might continue for a while until injuries and suspensions abate.

Played well at times today and were hamstrung by the injuries and general uselessness below the first XI.

December is going to be a horrible slog and, unsurprisingly, this isn't a title winning Spurs side.

But let's remember where we were under the two previous frauds.

There is a lot more to do and we remain much higher up than any of is thought we would be at this stage.

Plus...it's fun again

His lack of awarness in the final third was very unlike him. His positioning for the last offaide goal was just lazy. He has to prepare for potential rebounds etch.
I thought he was a bit off the pace today. Tired from the international break.

No.

The guy is working with the deadwood of our squad.

The pressure will be on Levy to get his wallet out in January.
Why work with deadwood! Use the Academy... I think these results would be easier to take whilst giving youngsters valuable experience... We've seen deadwood lose games many times before. That is my only slight gripe with Ange so far.... Keep being bold by blooding in the future.... Don't give the dross any minutes at all...

Keep the excuses coming, the more you make the more they become acceptable. The more the vibe spreads.

Will you still be making them when it’s 0 pts in 6 games? When do they stop?

I’m pissed off and I’m not apologising for that.

Yeah the attackimg play was sumptuos at times.

Had we finished some of those moves, it would of been the best football Ive seen from any team this season.

But the final ball/finishing let us down.

We need to be patient, it will come togther.

I think we'll have a very strong second half to the season.

But this festive period is going to be tough.

Good for you. I’m not looking to change 4 years of mis-management in 3 months.
We have an unprecedented injury/absence list and a small squad.
Were you moaning before the Chelsea game or is it just the last 2 weeks you don’t like?
If you can’t see the massive turnaround purely from getting the right manager then go support Chelsea and stamp your feet.

Romero is back soon. If Bentancur is only out for City we're still good for top 5 and CL with a decent CB brought in January. That would be a brilliant achievement.

Turning point for me was Rodders coming off. Completely changed the game.
So bloody frustrating, it never rains huh?
He and Gio were running the game until then. Yeah we were always going to be iffy at the back with those CBs, but if Rodders stays on we win that game 9 times out of 10.
Yep exactly.

It put more pressure on our defence and gave Villa confidence.

They couldn't handle Bentancur and Lo Celso who were running rings around them.

Hojbjerg coming on levelled it up a bit.

Ohh, honestly give me a break…that’s exactly the kind of things Harry justified his move and it’s an absolutely ridiculous take on the situation.

Harry Kane takes a swipe at Tottenham as he says 'it wasn't a disaster' if Spurs didn't win before hailing the 'top club mentality' at Bayern Munich and the pressure to dominate.

Remember ?

So, we hit a bump against Villa, and yeah, it stings. But here's the thing – we're on a wild ride with Ange, and it's shaping up to be one heck of a journey.

Wins and losses, it's all part of the game. Ange is stirring things up, trying to craft our unique style, and it's a bit of a rollercoaster – thrilling and, let's admit it, a tad nerve-wracking.

We can't win 'em all, but isn't that what makes the victories so darn special? Losses hurt, but let's not lose sight of the big picture. Our squad is evolving, our play is changing, and yeah, it's messy. But hey, life's messy too, right?

Ange is working his magic, and change is a bumpy road. It's like binge-watching your favorite series – some episodes are confusing, but you know they're setting the stage for something epic.

So, take a deep breath, ride the emotional rollercoaster that comes with being a Spurs fan, and cut our team some slack. We're in this together, through the highs and lows. Trust me, the best stories have twists and turns.

Cheer loud, stay passionate, and let's believe in the Ange process. Our time will come, and when it does, it'll be a celebration worth every heartache. 💙
Anything worthwhile in life has bumps and a bit of pain.

It is a process.

Our really strong start has clouded a lot of perspective for people.

Its taken an injury crisis for clubs to catch up to us.

That should be the viewpoint here.

Alternatively, we were expecting a slow start and to get going later.

Imagine we lose at Brentford and United, get a couple of wins but then lose to Liverpool.

Thats what people were expecting and it probably would have us in the same position or worse.

But Ange has shown how good it can be after just 10 games.

He won't be sat their panicking. He will have a real clear picture now of who he wants and doesn't want going forward. It has also become clear to him where we need upgrades.

Bit of a blessing. The picture is clear. Took Arteta 3 years to see his vision.

The issue is form, caused by injuries, have put many in a "doom and gloom" perspective when everyone should be hopeful as we still have 2 thirds of a season to go.

Plenty if time for players to return and other clubs to hit bumps too.

Still dont think Villa or Newcastle have it in the tank.

And United have had an easy run recently.

A lot more to come and things change so quickly in football

No one is asking for a 4 month turn around. But an “it’s ok to lose because….” Mentality is not for me.

you have to demand a win regardless! we set the standard, we set the level of ambition no one else! If you step into that stadium or tune in as a fan with anything less than a “I want a win and nothing else!” Than that’s problematic.

It’s acceptable to lose because we was unlucky or we tried hard or we have injuries or we’re re building does not cut it. That’s not a winners mentality.

Demand nothing less.

pretty pleased with the overall performance today

lack of clinical finishing and a final touch let us down

unlucky not to get a penalty and for that nasty fake Polish piece of work Cash to stay on the pitch

really needed to be 2-3 up when we were on top as our back line and high line were always going to conceded a couple today and we had no options from the bench

Main positive was Gio putting in am Argentina esq shift

If there is a silver lining to this injury crisis it will be showing Levy that we need a quality squad of 18-20 players

City, West Ham and Newcastle coming up. What happens next?
We have Romero back for 2 of those.

Bissouma for 3 of them with no suspension hanging over him.

Hopefully Bentancur is okay and Sarr too.

That is our build up and playing through press sorted again.

Lo Celso gave a lot of encouragement today to suggest we can get at teams.

Why would I be moaning before the Chelsea game? We was winning.

I moan when we lose. like most winners.

They are not excuses. They are vaild points.

We arent the only team in this league.

There's a good 7 or 8 teams who can beat you any day and you need to be at your best to beat them.

This is simply a case of not being good enough and standards.

If you took out all of City's CBs they probably lose the title.

Take out Liverpool's midfield and they finish 5th.

At some points you have to choose to support rather than criticise because you can see how much of a shit hand Ange and the players have been dealt.

Let’s keep some perspective. If you had been told at the start of the season we would have the 11 on the pitch that finished the game today and done anything other than embarrass ourselves you’d have been shocked and delighted. Our major problems right now are a lack of CBs (100% self inflicted but hopefully fixable quickly in Jan) and a lack of CMs (no one can cope well without their top 4 in the same position. Things are looking up

I’ll agree with you there to an extent.

The support never stops, trust me, my passion and support is the source of frustration.

But if your making excuses before kick off than you’ve already lost. The ludicrous injury list is a fact but don’t let it creep into your mind that it’s an excuse. Theres a difference.
