Apparently he just turned down Chelsea and wants to stay at Schalke for the immediate future. Draxler could maybe be Bale's replacement in a year or two?

Wasn't the ITK indicating Benteke was possibly imminent? If so we might hear something concrete in next day or two?

I think by the end of the week we'll know one way or another if this deal is going down.

Hopefully we'll get him. Hell I want us to add him for the tour in Asia lol

I'm a first time poster but have followed the forum for a few years now and it seems that the squad is the most stable it's been in years (touchwood on the Bale front). Have we been given any strong indications when the Benteke transfer could be wrapped up by or do we reckon this could be a transfer that could drag until mid-August?
Anyway, lets hope this becomes a fruitful transfer window. COYS

Apparently Villa have set a deadline of 18th July for the deal to be done, so I guess we will know either way by Friday.

Think Villa have set a deadline for around the start of August. But given the ITK, and it coming from JJ, it looks like it could be done long before then - hopefully.
