People either have short memories or haven’t been Spurs fans long enough….. I still remember being 3 up against City and losing 4-3….. and a shit City team with Shaun Goater in it as well.
Please don't remind me of that again. I watched that in a pub in South Manchester and was taking the piss out of some gobby City fans at half time......

Went into work in Manchester the following day to find my whole workstation decorated in City flags and scarves.....

Too many subs opened us up against a team that were obviously going to throw everything at us. But making changes is needed with the schedule we have and nice to see some players given a few minutes

Last comment from me... That has to be the worst refereeing performance I've ever seen, and I watch a lot of Premier League football.

Not giving the first penalty straight away, not sending off the Brazilian dude for 2 yellows immediately (basically had Bentancur confirm it was the same player), and not giving Hasebe a second yellow were all utterly shameful decisions. Add to that the amount of smaller fouls he called the wrong way.

Terrible referee, hopefully we never see him take control of one of our games again.
Yeah it was pretty shockingly bad. Son was hacked down so much and how Hasebe got away with it was very poor.

Just as a general comment I thought Frankfurt were exceedingly lucky not to finish the game with 8 men. The ref took an extreme amount of pity on that Hasebe, and then the defender who just gave up and brought down Gil was making zero attempt to play the ball and was last man.

Ref could definitely have been harsher on their transgressions.
I still don't understand how Hasebe got away with it to be honest. He definitely played the injury up to try and avoid confrontation with pur players harassing the ref...

And they had 10 men! 3-0 up at HT and they had a man sent off, I think after they blew for HT.

Jon Macken scoring the winner in injury time has haunted me ever since. I genuinely don't feel secure even if we're 4-0 up these days ?

Bit of a disappointing ending really but plenty of positives that I didn't think I'd see before the wholesale changes. After taking off Bentancur in particular you could see that none of the central midfielders were that comfortable being the one to receive the ball from defence and turn. Bissouma was quite comfortable passing it straight back to the defender and Skipp seemed to run between the opposition a few times instead. Bentancur and Hojbjerg without a doubt are just the most comfortable pairing for Conte's system and requirements.

A few nice moments today and he should have had the chance to score had Sessegnon picked him out straight away in the 2nd half but I'm still not too entusiastic about Richarlison on the right in a 3 man attack.

Fans have the right to analyse the game and demand certain standards. I'm sure the players and Conte will be doing the same rather than thorougly congratulating themselves. - "We go again and work even harder."
I don't think we will see Conte make 4 or 5 subs again unless we are out of sight

I can see him being the next Marcus Edwards and doing better in somewhere like Spain or Portugal. He seems to enjoy his football and I like his determination. He could be a winner for us long-term.
I can see him going on loan in January and that would be 2 years without any real progression into the first 11 - I assume he has a 5 year deal until July 2026 so perhaps another season in him before we have to pull the trigger one way or the other.

Despite winning, the last 25 minutes made it feel like a loss. He should have left richarlison on, and taken kane off. He looked leggy.

I'm worried that we are running him ragged.

Still we won with 10 men, since Emerson was absolutely shocking today.
