Welcome to the Spurs Vs Frankfurt Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

I see these lost 3 nil on the weekend. From what we saw last week if we are at all on it on Wednesday then im confident of getting a few goals and winning comfortably.

Looks like they rested a few players though.

Saw them at the Ruhrstadion in Bochum, where the VfL (the beloved club of my hometown) celebrated the first win of the season. Happy days are here again. It was a very poor performance by Eintracht. Of course they rested some of their key-players, most notably Hasebe and Rode, but many others were playing and Götze was back on the pitch too. Certainly they were already dreaming of Wednesday Night. Hope, they don‘t stop.

Romero - Dier - Lenglet
Bissouma
Doherty - PEH - Bentancur - Perisic
RIchy - Son

Don't know if Kane will be ready given the painful kick he received on his achilles/ankle towards the end of the game vs Brighton. Would still like to see us use a 352 and I think with it being a home game and everything that happened this past week, we'll cause Frankfurt some problems.

As always, big game. Looking forward to seeing Spurs back at home!

First of two home games coming up. Winning both consolidates what has been a great start to the season, results-wise.

I actually think this will be tougher than the 1st game. Frankfurt's away record in Europe is better than their home record. If our finishing is as bad as the 1st game, I can see a 0-1 loss, but we could beat them easily if Son and Kane are finishing like our run in last season.

I don't think he'll be rested but this should be the game Kane is rested for.

Looked leggy on Saturday vs Brighton.

A reminder for everyone. 2019 Dec 26 - Harry Kane puts an incredible effort in vs Brighton in a win. Plays vs Norwich two days later the full 90. 3 days later he snaps his hamstring vs Southampton.

Running the risk if he isn't given a game off at some point. He'll be in the red zone by Everton. Everton will be his 6th game in 14 days.

You can argue whether it's tomorrow or Everton but if he plays these two games and gets injured it will not be bad luck, just like it wasn't when he tore his hamstring in two 3 years ago.

Would be surprised if Doherty starts, think it’ll be royal back in

I don’t think we can rest Kane for this one. Two home wins and we are guaranteed qualification. (Two teams cannot finish ahead of us if we win twice.)

—————————Lloris
————Romero—Dier—Lenglet
Doherty—Bent—Bissouma—Hojb—Perisic
———————Kane——Son

Although I won’t be surprised if Conte picks Emerson over Doherty and reverts to 3-4-3 with Richy in ahead of Bissouma.

He’ll start Kane but if the game is won I’d like to see him take him off. This actually applies to any game where it’s in the bag. No manger for years, Spurs or England, seems to give him a rest.

I would hope we can win this after last week.

Let's hope we have the same amount of chances but our shooting boots on this week.

If we go 3 5 2 against both Frankfurt and Everton, I am confident we will get 3 points in each competiton. Conte has to be smarter in his team selection and formation. My issue is that he asked for players and got them but still running players into the ground. I really hope he rests Kane for this one.
