Welcome to the Frankfurt Vs Spurs Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

Not much will change unless Conte goes 3 5 2. But he seems to be stubborn and oblivious to what the rest of us, the media and pundits see.

I suspect he will play 352 not sure how Frankfurt play so i cant say whether 352 is teh right one. What 352 allows us though is to have a bit more control in midfield and allows us to have an atatcking player on the bench to change things up.

I wouldnt be surprised given Kulu is now out for a few weeks that he manages minutes by actually playing 352 - its less taxing on a midfield two and spreads the minutes around across our three forwards. It is also a way of integrating Skipp back in and gets the best out of Bissouma.

With our poor performances in away matches in Europe recently and Conte's lack of success in Europe there seems to be a distinct lack of interest in this match.

Was the last time we won away in Europe the Ajax game?

Our performance abroad seems to be horrendous in recent years. Sometimes it has looked like the players just didn’t want to be there. I wish they could give me more faith that they will do something different that recent history tonight.

It's weird how desperate we were to get back in the champs league last season, and now we are it is a bit meh. I suppose the group is not particularly exciting but still it is the ultimate club competition.
We should be able to through this group. A win tonight will help but even if we don't win, we still can get through with 9 or 10 points. Anyway let's be more positive. 3 points tonight, a good performance and then on to Brighton at the weekend. COYS.

We really need a result in this one tonight if nothing more than to get back on track. Our recent performances and results have been patchy at best so feel a win could may be shake off that feeling a lot of us have. That said, Frankfurt look a decent outfit and they won the Europa last season so are definitely no mugs. Would take a draw if offered right now but have a sinking feeling that we'll let the crowd get to us and fall to another defeat.

I haven't seen Frankfurt play since the Europa Final, so I know nothing about their style this season. Looks like they've started the season poorly but managed to put together a run of results, so maybe a point wouldn't be the worst result.

That late Sporting defeat has really fucked us. Complexion of the group would be completely different had we not invited them on in the last 10-15 minutes trying to escape with a 0-0.

I've no idea what to expect tonight.

Another defeat would leave us in a bad position group wise. Hopefully we actually get a reaction from the team.

Our record away in Europe is dreadful ?? even in the conference league ??‍♀️

Hope I’m wrong but I can’t see anything past a draw at best ??‍♀️

No doubt Emerson will start tonight with probably Sess starting at rwb vs Brighton. He is saying Doherty not ready to start a game at the moment.
It’s up to Spence to impress in training to try to get in this team. Wing backs are so important to his system. We were not very good on Saturday but could have got something from the game if our final passes were better. Sonny made an arse of two from which goals could have come. Still looks well off it.

Feel we need a bit of a Dele/Bale moment with Spence. Play him. He has an absolute worldly. Conte realises he’s ready. And off we go.

Feels like this team and fan base is teetering on the edge of an implosion.

3 or 4 bad results in a row and it could get messy really quick.

Need a performance as well as a result.

I think we've been teetering all season, but so far, apart from the Arsenal game, we've gotten away with it. Sooner or later it was going to bite us on the arse.

Need a performance tonight to silence the increasing number of doubters. Lose tonight and Brighton on saturday could be an awful game to watch....
