Come on, own up...who agreed with him?

@Bus-Conductor - BC, was that you?

So you're just going to guess who agreed with him are you? If you click the word list under the post it will tell you who agreed with him. You know your problem SP? You just haven't got a Forum brain. And that's not something you can teach either. :cautious:

You don't know how to click List ?

Gawd sake, BC! Sometimes you're so dense it makes me cringe.

Look, I'll break it down for you: I had zero interest in who actually agreed with the OP. I had zero interest in whether you actually agreed with the OP or not. I was gently mocking you well known and virtually pathological intolerance to Kyle Walker. You know, the one that makes you ignore anything positive about him while magnifying anything negative about him. And, by inference, highlighting an attitude almost as bizarre as the OP's.

The most important list here is the one in your brain that makes you so lop-sided at times. LoL

I was a decent player and played at non league level (2 leagues off the conference) could of an probably should of done better. But thats what girls and booze does for you! I didn't have the commitment I should have and was more interested in chasing girls and partying in my mid 20's. Sad but true.
But as for talent I honestly think I had a lot more talent than someone like walker and played with and against better players technically.

Credit to him he obviously had a better attitude than me and the said players. He's a fit lad as I said and I know this is a massive part of modern football.

However I think he is very poor. And thiught that before he got injured anyway. As I've said there are certain things you can't teach. A footballing brain is one. And yes to the poster who said this doesn't exist it definitely does! Positioning, knowing when to pass the ball quickly and to pick a pass. To name but a few. Walker just doesn't have these attributes.

His crossing is an absolute joke and indefensible for a so called top level player.

Yeah, yeah, we all had trials.

Jesus wept.

Dear Mods, could you please mock something up that prevents folk with I.Q.s lower than 57 from reading my posts.

Look, Nailsy, M8, please read my post, above, and then consider the following information:
I read the thread in Incognito. I had no interest in actually knowing who agreed with the OP. Which is a good job as you can't read lists of ratings in Incognito (didn't you know that? Maybe you just don;t have a forum brain). That notwithstanding, I wouldn't have had any interest in knowing who had agreed with the OP, anyway, even if I hadn't been in Incognito. The reason for this is that it would not serve my purpose to know and it would have been irrelevant whether BC was on the massive list (which stood, at the time of making my post, at 2) who had agreed with the OP. I was mocking BC for his polar opinion about Walker and inferring that it was as bizarre as the OP.

I am amazed that such basic humour could so completely pass by any human being of even rudimentary intelligence. Maybe you could enroll on a course for enhancing your appreciation of FUN...?

Dear Mods, could you please mock something up so that people whose sense of humour has been bypassed can't see my posts.

What did you want me say in response to your very hackneyed attempt at a joke ? It was a joke. I know you know how to push the list button.

Doofus.

You don't want to be able to see your own posts? Don't know if they can do that, Goode Pard'Ner :)

What did you want me say in response

Literally? Nothing. I was laughing at you, not with you. Short of you saying Yeah, it's a fair cop, my opinion on Kyle Walker (and plenty of other players) is polarized in the extreme I really wouldn't have thought there was much for you to say. Clearly I was wrong. Shouldn't have been surprised, really LoL

Very hackneyed? A little hackneyed, maybe, but very...? That's harsh, man, harsh :)

It was a joke.

D'oh. My response you your response, which is not the one you quoted, was also a joke. Try reading it again (again is an assumption that you read it in the first place LoL). I'll give you a clue...the last line is the punch-line :)

I know you know how to push the list button.

I wonder, sometimes. Besides, you didn't know I was reading the thread in Incognito, and determined on my post in incognito. So it still doesn't actually matter whether I knew how to push the list button. LoL

I rate Walker but I worry he won't ever improve his weaknesses due to how thick he appears to be.

He's been making the same mistakes for a while now (i.e. giving away dumb free kicks in dangerous areas for being overly aggressive even if the opponent is going nowhere, letting cross field balls drop over his shoulder etc).

He's got such ability though. I'm hopeful Poch can get through to him and help him fulfil the undoubted potential.

Clock has started to tick though, and we know that Poch doesn't suffer fools gladly.

So in a nutshell he's a thicko with tremendous ability? Is that what you're saying?

He is athletic and does give get up and down the byline. He is determined and doesn't give up. These are all great qualities for a FB. i think too many fans just take it for granted. Bear in mind that towards the end of the AVB-campaign he was one of the few players that showed some bottle. We aren't a club that can attract a complete FB like Zabaleta. IMO he is similar to Coleman.

Except Coleman can cross, shoot and pass lol

No one has an answer?

How about Serge Aurier. Currently on loan at PSG from Toulouse. He's back up to Van Der Wiel. He's not perfect but he's better than Walker, quick, strong and likes to get forward and gets his head up better than Walker when he gets there.

Don't understand this thread at all.

We've plenty of players in the squad we need to lose before we get to Walker - think of 6 other players like Kaboul, Chirches, Capoue, Paulhino, Sokdado, Adebayor.

If we can replace all those players in the summer TW and have time to look at other less strong spots I'll be very surprised (and delighted)

Seriously though, you're an idiot jimbo, and i say that with all due respect. Walkers a very good full back in the PL and will only get better over the next few years

He's not crap by any means, but he isn't terribly good either. He's got deceptively good pace which gets him out of sticky situations, but his positioning is poor and so is his delivery when he comes forward which is tough with inverted wingers. In my eyes, he hasn't improved since the season he took over from Corluka and that's disappointing. Reality is that there aren't many great RBs around, so I'd be happy for him to continue as first choice for a while.
