I must admit I think I was one of the few that even when Kyle Walker won the young player of the year want convinced. When he won that accolade I thought that the English game must be in all sorts of trouble if he was the best young player in the country. I still hold that thought.

I'm sorry sure he is pretty quick and his pace gets him out if trouble but he is never a footballer IMO.

His positioning is terrible and his distribution woeful. He doesn't seem to have a footballing brain.

I know he is young and I may be being a tad unfair but I honestly can't see him improving to the standard good enough for us. I actually think he Is very poor and definitely a week link.

Actually preferred and rated Corluka much more.

For me Gallas can play there now and it would be a much improved.

Agree that Walker's been poor this term, but I'd rather give Naughton a run out at RB than Gallas...

10 minutes against a team that were down to 10 men and being passed to death proves that he should be our first choice right back?

mmmkaythen.

Are we really considering whether Walker is good enough? Some people need to go back down memory lane and remember players of the past: Pamarot, Stalteri and the odd appearance from Zokora there!

Kyle Walker is a very good right back. His standards have dropped from last season yes, but that's no reason to play a 50 year old centre half there. He's still so young for a defender, so stop moaning like fucking gooners.

Maybe it's something worth trying again for the last ten minutes when we're winning, as teams tend to pump balls into our box, so having an extra CB might be useful? Just a thought.

Well for 3/4 of the season nearly gone i don't think Walker is up to it either. Shocking footballer

I'm quite glad we disagree. Let me guess, are you one of those that would prefer Graham Naughton to be right back?

When Kaboul is back and we are being bombarded with long balls we can bring Dawson on for walker and play Kaboul right back

Gallas is 50? Well you learn something new from the younger generation everyday.

He was okay today, although he was hardly going to have a lot of pressure when their ten men were running on fumes. I have to say I nearly shit myself when he replaced Walker, and if Walker isn't going to be good enough then I would prefer Naughton over Gallas all the time. Gallas simply hasn't got the speed to play there any more, and (unlike Corluka) isn't experienced enough in the position to compensate for that.

Having full backs that can play as auxiliary wingers adds so much to our team. Yes to Walker and Naughton - big no to Gallas, Corluka etc.

Not quite sure what has happened to Walker this season though. Was outstanding most of last year, but really hasn't backed it up. That said, he's still clearly quality and I'm sure will come good.
