i think that's spot on.
Not included = Warnock, Dawson, Huddlestone, Wright-Phillips, Parker, Bent, Johnson.

personally I'd take Dawson over Upson and would have given him some minutes to get 'international experience' and think Parker will be called up if Barry's injury is considered too bad...now starting 11....???

I really genuinely believe that Fabio will take hudd to SA. I think Tom will have impressed him during training with his pure technical ability and as an Italian, thats sure to make Capello a little weak at the knees.

Unfortunately i think Daws will miss out to Upson. The fact that Capello said his 23 is more or less what he had in mind all along, i think there's only going to be a few inexperienced players.

To miss out for me, Daws, Warnock, Parker, Carrick, SWP, A.Johnson, Bent

I think that is right, especially after the Japan game which only really benefitted Joe Cole. A few weeks ago I agree with this England World Cup squad prediction that had Johnson in for Cole. But considering Capello has given Johnson about five minutes of match time in the two friendlies, I think he prefers Cole's versatilty and experience.

what time is capello announcing the squad? im presuming dawson is already on the phone booking his summer holidays along with hudd. shame for dawson who i think definitely deserves it and hudd has had a really good season and england isnt blessed with holding midfielders like him so he has a good case

i think if warnock is fit he should go to SA - he can also play in mid, which is why i wanted us to sign him

with warnock we'd only need 7 mids

cole walcott lennon lampard gerrard milner barry/hudd

tho could take a risk on johnson too and leave carrick

or take all five strikers

On form, Hudd deserves to go instead of Carrick and may well sneak in. Dawson on form deserves to go ahead of Upson, but the latter played in lots of the qualifying games and that counts for something.

Not sure what time it will be, but I know they wanted to give Barry one last fitness test this morning.

Yeah because England really need more midfielders, especially one that has hardly played there
